I expect banners and have come to just immediately page down to the bottom of the store page to get to news now, so dont really see it

but what i found really off putting and disconcerting is the sales bannner of it on my check out screen in cart

This might be the first time ever that a website layout legitmately made me laugh :D

At this point I can only assume the GOG web team (whoever or whatever it actually is) is just fucking with us. And you know what? I can sort of respect that. Unlike incompetence, there is something to be admired about a boldfaced troll.

EDIT: Fuck me, it got even better! Now it's an autoplaying trailer ad for the game you have to skip, and then you still get greated by the Thronebraker banner on the front page! This is amazing. This is awesome. Whoever came up with it is a genius.

Also, I just removed Thronebreaker from my wishlist because seriously, fuck this noise.

A splash page for your card game before the actual site I’m trying to get to? That’s just ridiculously heavy handed advertising.

Not only they didn't remove that banner but they also added the splash screen...

I think if someone is interested in the game with the banner in the store page is enough. Please, remove the video ad.

This is getting very ridiculous already. Can't they stop with what they're doing? Even fucking steam doesn't do this.

OK. This is ridiculous overkill. Which bumps Thronebreaker to the 'let's wait for a deep discount' category. I'm not going to support this kind of intrusive, desperate advertising.

It makes me wonder, though, is GOG/CDPR doing so bad financially that they have to resort to such methods? At least that is the message this kind of advertising transports to me. "Help, help! Buy our stuff! We are totally desperate!" It doesn't look good for them!

The banner on the store page didn't really bother me, but the advert they showed when I just opened Galaxy did. Please don't do that, GOG!

Someone needs to do a "This is GOG!" parody of the "This is Sparta!" parody :P.

Just the banner didn't even bother me (since it changed I barely even look at it anyway), but now it's getting annoying.
Redirecting me to a Thronebreaker ad is way too much.

The ad screen before the main page irked me, but it makes sense since it's only available here.
Although I guess if you come to this page enough to post in this thread and give a shit about the ad screen, you definitely know that Thronebreaker is out.
