It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

saxer: I usually scroll using middle mouse click, can't even do that now...
This, wtf when designs prevent that option.

saxer: Wait... covering the entire screen with the thronebreaker-banner and the regular scrolling banner is intentional?

I thought something had broken...

I usually scroll using middle mouse click, can't even do that now...
A lot of people do, apparently no one at GOG does though. Then again, you only use your finger for a mobile device anyway.
People actually still go to the gog.com front page instead of just hitting the forums and leaving? Why?

It makes me wonder if they even have a real web designer rather than some poor software programmer who was forced into coming up with this horrible mess. It's obvious whoever is behind it has no real clue about good functional and visual design. What baffles me even more is that some of the higher-ups at the company must have approved this as well.

It is certainly not a way to attract more customers. A front page of a digital store should be inviting, not scaring people away. I certainly would put GOG's legitimacy in question if I was a newcomer to the site with this amateurish effort.

InkPanther: Why do you even bother visiting the front page?

I don't, but GOG has decided that I must visit it every time I log in or out.

I guess that's logical. Since they were redesigning the front page to be something no one would willingly visit, they decided to keep the bug that redirects us there. Stupid, but logical.
Who dumped your cereal out the window? Did Thronebreaker kill your dog?

It's a promotion, it'll go away when GOG says so. Otherwise, you can just find and play games with the search or go though your massive backlog of however several hundred games you've got.
Totally inspired by the OP in this thread, I went straight down to my local shopping centre and told one of the shopkeepers to pull down the banner in their front window because it annoyed me.

And they said...well...I'm not going to say what they said, but I'm pretty sure it's not anatomically possible.
