NuffCatnip: Yeah, I don't know wether they have to refund the game or not, but it'd certainly be a nice gesture. :)

CymTyr: They don't have to, but if they do, I'll be very happy. We'll see, Catnip. Good luck!
Let's hope for the best. *Crossing fingers*

This is the official refund policy: https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000577549-What-is-the-refund-policy-for-games-in-development-

They don't specifically mention what happens if the game gets pulled before it's fully released, so I don't know if it applies to you, but regardless: good luck! Ideally any refund would be out of the publishers pocket.

chandra: , the devs behind Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem will not be able to maintain update parity between GOG.COM and other platforms. We've mutually agreed that it's best to delist the game from our catalog.
Thanks for the notice and it was the correct decision.

However, I would like to raise my suggestion again: could you make removal warnings blue News threads please? Or make them stand out in some other way. It's far too easy to miss these in the flood of other regular threads.
hmm.

I really did enjoy this game in-dev and was actually waiting for the finished game, bummer really.

let's hope when it is completed; they'll drop it here..?

I'll go ahead and quote something I posted a few months ago when another In Dev title was pulled:

Maybe the dev has no intention to pay back the money they made through gog purchases? Would be a pretty sweet deal for them actually: Milk the gog consumers during the In-Dev-phase and then make off with the money and leave gog customers with an incomplete game (that will presumably never receive any patches either) while gog is left with the option to offer refunds out of their own pockets or offering no refunds at all.

This is of course pure conjecture and I hope that the devs aren't actually such huge scumbags.
Given the brazen don't-give-a-shit-attitude these devs have displayed in their correspondence, along with the swiftness gog has removed this game from sale, I wouldn't be surprised if the devs actually *are* such huge scumbags... Gog's 14-day refund policy for In Dev titles ironically enough enables and encourages such behaviour.

CymTyr: I also opened a ticket last night after finding out the new beta that launched today for Wolcen will not be on GOG. We'll see what support says, I mean I'd be happy with store credit considering I bought the game 3 years ago.

Also: Fuck the devs.

For what it's worth, I can confirm that I got refunds for two games due to lack of updates: Perception and Riot. Perception was a "finished" game that never got an update despite game-breaking bugs (and got pulled about a year later) while Riot is an In Dev title that launched its 1.0 build on Steam but - at the time - not on gog. Gog support will probably go "You bought this x amount of time ago, so you're outside the grace period, but we could offer you a refund in the form of store credit.", so you'll get your money back as store credit at the very least. It sucks for gog that they'll likely have to pay it out of their own pockets, but they're the ones who pride themselves on their brilliant curation. It's ultimately their fault for allowing such devs here in the first place.

Supposedly the beta made the game online only, so that's not happening. Would also explain them refusing to update a DRM Free version.

Good! Now get us some of those sweet Dungeon Crawlers you've been rejecting, GOG.
I asked for a refund. It kinda sucks how the devs have handled the game...

Oh so I buy a game only to realize I cannot press play button without an ISP provider!?

NuffCatnip: I decided to open a ticket to ask for a refund, it's simply not fair to be stuck with an unfinished game in your library, I mean I paid the full price for the final product and not a half-assed alpha build. :/
Fuck the devs btw.

You are free to do what you wish and on some levels I do get it, but if it were me I would not hurt and punish GOG for the action (or lack their of) of a shitty dev.

Yes, you would not be able to play without internet.
This doesn't rule out a release here once it's actually finished though, does it?

Wow so they make a game, sell it and they still won't let you have it? (without internet service provider. 24/7 365 days)
That is not logical.
I gotta say, it does look very cool.

But i think Grim Dawn and the occasional Titan Quest is more than enough for me.

I don't feel this is punishing GOG. This would refund the game and come out of Wolcen's development proceeds on GOG. There is a distinct difference.
