So I've come to the understanding that this is actually a demake. Or a Rebreak. Depeinding on how you phrase it.

So I'm glad to know GOG backed a real winner and not something like Jimmy & the Pulsating Mass.
This is a definite hard pass for me, after reading and seeing what a travesty of a remake this is. I'll just stick with the original.
I'm actually amazed how they managed to make it so bad.

I guess the remake needs a remaster.
What the HELL is that price tag? Are they serious?

I can get the CD of the original from several game e-shops in my country for less than $2. Milking at its finest.

Man, videos of this on youtube make it look rouuuuuugh. Maybe after a few patches it'll be worth trying, but even then it seems worse than the original overall.

Thank you for warning people about this absolute pile of shit! Doing God's work here!
One year delay and this is what people get? Not only the "game" is a pile of shit, the developers are too. And let's not forget the shitty publisher. This turd is not only a rip off, it is a scam.
GOG should get rid of it, because shit like this can only hurt your reputation. I mean, Steam doesn't care but GOG should.

At least it should be removed from the highlights section...
Maybe The Dark Heath of Uukrul could take its place?

They didn't send out review codes from what I know, so they knew what was going on. The consumer had no clue, so here I am giving blood to the blood god, salt to the salt throne haha
Microids has been on my shitlist since Syberia 3 but now, now it's personal, they are going the fuck down this time !

Okay, that was not serious but i stand by what i said before about remasters & remakes but also going to add, it's sad that devs/pubs feel the need to take advantage of nostalgia like this and the long list other re-releases that has gone down the same road. If you are going to take an old game and modernize i will at the very least expect an improvement and not an total unplayable mess that you know are nowhere near ready for release and that's why i always going to be happy for any developer delaying their stuff to try and make it a better experience to play.

The rate of unoptimized and super buggy releases nowadays are far above what should be acceptable. I know it's hard to make a perfectly polished game especially for smaller developers but it shouldn't be too much to ask for a reasonably smooth experience when you are putting down 48$ from what i see.

Just by looking at videos on YT, I'm honestly amazed GOG even allowed this garbage on the store. Imagine how many decent games didn't make it onto GOG, but somehow, this got through.

Remake of a beloved classic AND a known publisher who supports GOG without much hassle.

That should explain the "it outdid curation"-stunt here.

Well then, I think some GOG staff should play the damn games they plan on adding for at least an hour before giving it the green light. I think that might help out. Or not.
