Aliens, do you bleed? You will.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown Complete Pack is now available, 80% off until June 18, 10 PM UTC, DRM-free on GOG.com. It contains every piece of content released for the game, including the Enemy Within expansion.
They thought we'd go down without a fight. They were wrong. Also quite ugly.
Commander, the XCOM initiative stands ready. Train and customize your elite squad, research human or alien technology, and take Earth back through turn-based tactical action, and smart base management.

For some heavily discounted old-school X-COM goodness, check out our Summer Sale.

tremere110: You will likely wait a very long time for a Linux release if it ever materializes at all. Feral interactive doesn't seem to have any of their ports on GoG. An email I sent them a while back made it clear they knew what GoG is but didn't want anything to do with them (GoG). Maybe they changed their mind but I'm not hopeful.
I think Feral Interactive is missing out on a good number of sales. They are making games for a platform that I believe many of it's users prefer DRM free. I would even buy some of the games on GOG a second time to get a DRM free Linux version. Maybe Feral could try that. List one of the more popular games here a second time, with FI as the publisher, and see how well it sells.

Barry_Woodward: Vote for more 2K games on the wishlist:

Borderlands
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
Borderlands 2
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
XCOM 2
I think Borderlands GOTY is a very reasonable request. It's older and popular.

mike_cesara: ..and, to be honest, I have enough listening what games should I play with all this political correctness shit.
Pollitical correctness has nothing to do with it; it's more about giving GOG and Feral an incentive to bring the Linux version here by refusing to buy it until they do. By buying it now, GOG have made their money from it already and Feral will not get anything from your sale as it counts as a Windows purchase.

They responded very quickly to the email I sent them earlier, but it looks like a generic response & doesn't inspire much confidence:
Thanks for your interest in Feral Interactive.

We appreciate your suggestion, and will take it under consideration.
...
[the rest of the email goes on to encourage buying it from Steam or their own store]

iirc they publicly stated quite recently that GOG is not a viable option for them.
No Mac port means insta-sadness and no purchase. What a shame. I guess I’m too busy to play another game anyway.
Had a feeling this would show up. Much thanks to GOG and 2K!

I know it has not much to do with political correctness but works in a similar way. I'm kept being told what I should and what not, I'm a bit too old for this shit. If Feral doesn't want to have anything to do with GOG, fine. It is their problem, definitely not mine. This same counts for every publisher who doesn't feel like I'm customer they're looking for (speaking about releasing games without DRM in general now).
I do appreciate what mr. G. Newell did and keeping doing for Linux community (bringing more games means more potential Linux users in the future, not only gamers). But also made those games somehow dependent on Steam platform. Now, some of us looking forward to see Galaxy on Linux, and yet some of us trying to get rid of it as loud as possible. Is it worth it then? What will we hear when Galaxy will be released for Linux? How many threads about DRM apocalypse will show up on the forum? All of this doesn't make good publicity and definitely not serving us, as customers.

FutureSuture: Why did you give GOG your money before the company provided a Linux client for the game? Never buy a game before it has a working Linux client. You could be waiting a very long time. The Linux community has learned this the hard way a number of times now.

mike_cesara: Does it make you angry? That's a good enough reason for me.
(Brain Donnors - 1992)
No offence, but I don't think I'm going to confess where and on what I'm spending my hard earned money. I could, I bought and not regretting it. I can understand what you're trying to say, but I can wait with the game on my shelf.
..and, to be honest, I have enough listening what games should I play with all this political correctness shit.
It is enough I had to buy Hatred somewhere else because some (..) felt offended with the game and felt like I shouldn't play it too. Nothing personal, only showing my point of view ; p
I hope Linux port will show up here as soon as possible. This has happened before with some games and will happen in the future for sure.
Are you for real? You think I am angry over you spending your money on a game that does not yet have a Linux client available on GOG? No. Not one bit. Just wondering what the point was when your intention, as clearly stated, is to use it on Linux and make GOG realise that there is a market for Linux. I merely provided some advice, knowing full well how Linux users have been treated in the past by developers and publishers. No political correctness. No anger. After reading your post, however, I am a tad disappointed. As others have already said, they now have your money and thus have less incentive to provide the Linux client. Several big games on GOG still do not have their Linux clients years after they were released. The Linux client may come tomorrow, next week, or 5 years from now. It may never come. Enjoy looking at this game on your shelf I guess.

What do you mean by DRM apocalypse ?

Also
Nice suprise, didn't expect this any time soon.
Good release.
Nice game to see here.

FutureSuture: Are you for real? (..)
Depends on the part of my post ; )
For me, it is Feral's fault they aren't here since the very first day. Perhaps next time they will be quicker with their decisions? Or not bother at all, so do I. Why should I plead anyone to take my money? Sounds ridiculous, isn't it?
Nothing to talk about, my money, my decisions. And don't you worry, I can manage without Feral's port : )

Just take a peek around the forum, you will find plenty of posts about incoming DRM to GOG.
Signs are everywhere, like the Big Blue Button in your very own library ; ))

A great release that's stained by the lack of Mac and Linux versions, these ports are old so no excuse about lack of Galaxy this time.

hummer010: Cossacks 3 (this is especially grievous, because, GSC publicly stated that the Linux version would come to GOG)
Despite being advertised as Linux compatible on Steam, the version itself is still "in beta". I understand they may not have the resources to maintain a beta build on 2 fronts. When the "stable" releases you can be sure I'll be there sending emails and messaging on Steam for the GOG release.
