The sequel to the 2012 award-winning strategy game has arrived. XCOM 2 is now available DRM-free on GOG.COM with a special 75% discount lasting until 30th March 2020, 1 PM UTC. Earth is under alien rule. Facing almost impossible odds you must rebuild XCOM and ignite a global resistance to reclaim our world and save humanity.

Apart form the base game, also XCOM 2's DLCs receive special discounts until 30th March 2020, 1 PM UTC. During that time, if you buy all the XCOM 2 titles, you will receive an additional 51% discount on the whole bundle.

NuffCatnip: When I saw the news a few hours ago, the price for the bundle was 45 € (on my phone), I would have bought the bundle for that price, without hesitating. But 22€, man, that's a steal! Bought! :D
That got me, too :-). There is a promo which is worth additional 51%, if you buy all. But you can only see it, if you go to your cart.
What luck. I was about to buy it on steam during their 2k sales just a few hours ago. Changed my mind and didn't go ahead since I figured it would appear on gog eventually. I even added xcom 2 as a recommendation for introducing to gog in the past 12 hours....

Got it rightaway.
HFS hell yeah!
WoW I did not see the mega discount for those that already own the entire GoG series, it's an 82% discount for us, making this entire bundle only $24; insta-bought!

EDIT: Oops, it's an EXTRA 51% off, that totals 82%; my mistake!

BreOl72: The price for the whole package is really tempting, and I enjoyed the first part, but the second part has too many missions with time limits/limited turns for my taste.
Oh please, thats a total no issue. The point of the timers is to not overwatch crawl over the map for 100 turns. And besides, you can edit the game files and adjust the timers any way you see fit.
This game has a time limit, I hear ? :(

Is it possible to turn it off ?

I should've spend more time learning about the game, before buying. I hate time limits! This will ruin the gameplay. :(

karnak1: Thank you very much!

Well... that settles it, then.
Instabought!

falloutttt: Very welcome!

I bought the whole collection as well. Seems like a reasonable price for full game.

70GB to download tho, that's heavy! :D
yes but after those 70gb made their way to your home, you are good for life and wont need anything else :)

Its not like its an issue...just dont take an hour to move across a map...

i didnt understand this whole extra 51% discount... once i saw the announcement of release on gog, i purchased everything in one single order and the grand total was around 45€

now i own everything, i could REBUY it for only 22 ? but then... for gifting purpose only i guess ?

or did i have a bug when i placed my order and i should have got the whole 22€ entire package price ? or was it normal that i got 45€for base game plus all DLCs in my initial order ?

i'm really really confused here

The time limit was not that bad. At least for me. I don't think you can turn it off initially. But i heard of mods, that can.

Yup. Time to call support for a refund.
Thank you gog for this game! It was my favourite game I played in 2018, and finally I can get it DRM-free with all DLC. Maybe I try out War of the chosen, I only played the base game.

Oh, so it's only the missions that are time limited ? I guess it's not that bad then.

Thank you! :)

They fixed the price after about an hour after the release of the game. So you should ask for refund and buy again.

Some missions has a time limit, say resolve that objectice in 10 rounds. Later in the game, there will be a doomsday ticker. That is sort of a time limit on the world map. But it is not that bad either. You can reduce it by doing main missions, destroying enemy bases and countering specific dark events by doing a mission.

I'm not complaining. Went outside for a drive while it was downloading. Nice weather today. ;)

Got it! Thanks for the details! Will have to see for myself I guess. But usually time-limited games are no go for me. I need my freedom! :D
