Do whatever you want... in space.

X Gold, X2: The Threat, X3: Reunion & X3: Terran War Pack, a series of sandbox space-simulators, are available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. Look out for the games at up to 75% off in the Classic X Pack during the Big Fall Promo, or grab the games individually at 50% off.

The X games - X Gold, X2: The Thread, X3: Reunion & X3: Terran War Pack - are a series of some of the most ambitious and sophisticated space-roaming simulators ever created. This is no exaggeration.

The universe is a vast, ruthless place, a true final frontier, where the strong and cunning prosper while the weak are eaten up alive without mercy. But do you have the guile and determination to make it?
The X Series are true sandboxes - you are in charge of your destiny from the second you leave the hangar for the first time, until the moment you deem yourself satisfied with your galactic conquest.

Even though the complexity may be overwhelming to newcomers, the rewards are incredible: in the X Series you can do whatever you want. Become a roaming mercenary - go from nimble fighters to hulking destroyers, join one of the many factions in war, build and maintain a massive trading empire from rags to riches, even own your own trading posts and facilities. The possibilities are incredible.

You can now grab the entire series at up to 75% off in the Classic X Pack during the Big Fall Promo!

Trade, Fight, Build, Think in X Gold, X2: The Threat, X3: Reunion & X3: Terran War Pack, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com

tinyE: What is the learning curve on these?
I recommend playing X2's tutorial before even diving into the series. X2 and X3 systems are quite different with good improvements in X3 onwards but the concept is more or less the same.
I don't know how many times now you guys release a game I bought the previous time it went on sale someplace else. And I am deliberately waiting for a release here... Good job though, great series :)

Swampland: Amazing addition. One of the first games I voted for to be added to GOG. Feels good to now finally be able to play even the older installments of this without that SecuROM bullying.
They're all DRM free for a couple of years already (except Albion Prelude). DRM free patches are available on Egosoft's site. And the Superbox is DRM free out of the box.
Oh hell yes! Got them elsewhere, but getting them here. Gotta have it on GOG!
Have these on that which shall not be named. So I just picked them up here :)
Nice. Never was really able to figure out how to work these games.

I know, but whenever I installed my DVD version of X2 the SecuRom DRM installed together with it, regardless of the no-DRM patch I later added. And once it's lodged within a system it's hard to get out. X2 was unplayable on Windows 10 due to that. X3 worked fine though.

What Steam?
Stupid question: Owners of the physical Superbox can redeem the games on Steam (which I never did) with the serial code (which is fully optional) from the box. Do you plan to do the same here on GOG? Would be a nice addition to your Reclaim Your Game project which still looks a bit empty.
Very nice releases, as I was always curious to play this series.
One question: are you allowed to pilot the really big ships in this game? Or is it limited/comparable to Freelancer?
Are these games similar to Wing Commander or Descent? Do they work with an Xbox 360 controller?
Drooling all over my keyboard.

Sounds silly, but... Play X:BtF and X2 before you jump into X3 Terran Conflict (or Albion Prelude, which I haven't played yet). X3 is complex and you'll learn new stuff even after 100 hours of gameplay. Knowing the "basics" from the earlier games helps a lot!

They are very open ended but are very slow on the start and can be rather difficult early on.
