trusteft: I know. It was a rhetorical question. Or sarcasm. It pisses me off the attention the client gets over the offline installers.
Thanks for your reply though.
Sarcasm is impossible to distinguish when written, it's only possible to detect in the spoken word, because it's made clear by the way you say words, not the content of the words, you simply can't be sarcastic in writing without saying I'm being sarcastic.

As for Galaxy, I detest every store client, and the main reason I buy games on GOG, is for the offline installers, I even go as far as buying good games again, when they finally come to GOG, but It's not so much that the client gets special attention, as that the devs send files to GOG, and they are now automatically added to the client, while offline installers need to be created by GOG, one by one.

So we have to wait as long as we always have, while the client just gets them faster than when it was a manual system.
It's always worth waiting for the installer as far as I'm concerned, however long that takes.

ChillAsIce: Most strange. I don't see any new soundtracks for download. I checked the old ones (I redownloaded them) but nothing appears to have changed.

deonast: ChillAslce, the old X4 Foundations soundtrack, does it have a FLAC option? I ask as the collectors edition page just indicates MP3 while on GOGs competitor steam they indicate FLAC and MP3 so wondering if gog made a mistake on their page or we actually get less from the product. Yes the x4 split soundtrack mentions both formats, so I'm concerned with foundations.
Yes. I see that there is both MP3 and FLAC versions are available for download. I downloaded a copy of each earlier today to see if the Split soundtracks were among them (they were not).

Anyone played the game?
It looks great but there is also beta of Starpoint gemini 3 now out and it also looks sweet.
I have been enjoying X3 Rebirth though.

superstande: X3 Rebirth though.
X:Rebirth with no number in it.

ChillAsIce: I have a question. I bought the X4 Deluxe edition way back when. I got the Split DLC today but not the Split soundtrack. Do we have to buy the soundtrack separately?
avatar
iregart: I tested it. I added the soundtrack to my cart and went to the checkout page. There in a little note over the items, it said that I already owned the Dekuxe-Edition, which contains the said soundtrack. So perhaps it is only delayed.
The devs on the official X forums said it would come to the GOG collectors edition owners and yes, it's just a bit delayed.
I do not understand what the problem with the music could be unless GOG recieved the wrong files and cannot reach anyone at Egosoft as they are all sleeping in.
Finally!
Not a single day passed, and GOG managed to roll out the 3.0 update and the DLC!
Awesome. ;)

Full day, of course. GOG had another 5 hours yet. :)

Of course I can.

Okay it is April 2nd in my neck of the woods in Australia and I have not been able to successfully download Split Vendetta. The GOG Galaxy 2.0 client has it listed in the downloads however when I click on it, it does nothing. I've been trying on and off all day and it is becoming somewhat frustrating.

I decided to try downloading it via the website and it also seems to be having issues. It appears as though both the executable and bin file download but when I fire up the executable it says it cannot find part 1 despite me looking right at it.

I've never had much in the way of problems with GOG before but this has been a completely botched launch for me.

You can know, you're being sarcastic, and your close friends can probably tell, but nobody that does not know you well can ever tell you're being sarcastic, because you write the exact same thing as the stereotype you're being sarcastic about, so without hearing the tone of your voice, which is the only thing that makes verbal sarcasm identifiable, to strangers, it will always be impossible to know whether you're intending to be sarcastic, or expressing a genuine opinion.

So strangers take the words at face value, assuming you meant what you wrote, because there's no indication you didn't, in the written words, as their can be if actually spoken.
Linux version is now up.
Split soundtrack is now owned.
Everything looks good now.

The last time I played it was broken. But it's been a while to be honest.

If you're saying the game is completely fixed now, I'm a happy little boy now. Cause I've been waiting to play this game once it's fixed, if ever.
