ariaspi: Waiting for RAGE. It's a 9 years old game, why is so difficult to bring it here, Bethesda & GOG?
The MEGA TEXTURES of course, they take so long to move (or just to load in game) that they alone are all that's holding it up. MEGA TEXTURES the 90 year old geriatric driver of videogames.

ReynardFox: Youngblood is hot garbage, you don't want it.

Anime-BlackWolf: I played it already. It is dumb, but partly fun. For a budget release / with low sale price you can have some fun time with it. I await it here now. You do not have to buy it. :)
Even with the horrendous bullet sponge enemies, the sloppy fetch quest structure? The terribly broken ammo type vs armor type management? The insufferable protagonists? The forced co-op AI that simply does not function half the time and will end your game repeatedly? Surely just replaying New Order would be more satisfying.

I mean sure, If you really want to play it go nuts, but I wouldn't add it to my account as a freebie. Also if it shows up before Doom 2016 I will flip tables. :p
Since there were only "game money" microtransactions until know, those can be patched out quite simply. The game would become grindy without being able to pay for win, but I don't think that would stop GOG/Bethesda.

"Doom" is still a quite well seller for Steam, I doubt it will come here, unless the "rest" of Bethesda's catalog is already here.
They did not publish it here, when "Doom Eternal" arrived, so they still want to milk it.

Anyway, each Bethesda game here DRM-free is a step upwards, so bring them all. We WILL get "Doom" some time, but I do not expect it in 2021. Maybe 2022, when "Doom Eternal" has ended it's run and part 3 is being made.

I was saying Doom mostly in jest, I have no faith that it'll actually show up for years for the reasons you stated, Beth only wants to give us dead or damaged franchises to pick up some extra crumbs.

wolfsite: For some reason that seems rather common, I've seen a number of games that have been cheaper buying the parts separately rather than buying the package edition.
avatar
thegreyshadow: Indeed. In the last sale (Black Friday?) IIRC the Metro Exodus bundle was a lot less discounted than the individual games combined. Bought the games separately and the difference was still something like USD 7.
The same thing was the case when I bought the evil within 2 on GOG. There was some confusion at the time by some people thinking the deluxe version contained the soundtrack (it didn't) but I put it all down to exchange rates.

The thing that REALLY erks me is things like the darksiders pack GOG sell. I own the other 2 games already on GOG and there is no way to upgrade to complete the package only buy DS3 at a high price or rebuy games I already own. That means a no-sale!

It isn't the only example I'm sure but it seems like GOG/the publishers deliberately sabotaging themselves out of potential sales.
Any reason why the offline installers are just for the German edition?

I'm trying to download from Canada, so shouldn't be a regional thing.

Strange. updated galaxy, and it switched me to the correct version.
Guess it was giving me "Deutch" by default before, because... alphabet? idk.

TZODnmr2k5: A part of me agrees, but the other part does not care if that game comes over here or not as it's generally agreed that it's a piece of shit game...

Anime-BlackWolf: It may be kind of shite, but it would complete the storyline / series here. Unfortunately it has microtransactions in it as far as I know. That COULD be a problem releasing it here. Would be instabought nevertheless.

I would buy it because of the "alternate 80s" setting. The soundtrack is kind of nice, too. The girls tend to OVERACT quite strong, but I can overlook that. It is at least playable.

"Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot" on the other hand is truely rotten. Even for a gimmicky VR game, that one is the pits. See Youtube "longplays"... oO

EDIT:
Still missing old stuff (which is not in legal hell): "Hunted - The Demon's Forge", "Rage 1+2", "Rogue Warrior", "Brink". The rest seems to be hold up in hell or has CC in it. And the new DOOMs of cause.
Yeah, I've seen enough let's plays and deep reviews enough to know that the mechanics are pretty shit if you're a single player, but its co-op is doable, as everything is more fun playing with friends; however, I'm mainly a single-player so it's a no-go for me, but only me!

If anyone else can find fun with it then who am I to judge?
Nice to see Wolfenstein II come here, even if it is not my favorite of the games. Wished it had better level design since it's kind of forgettable compared to the previous games. I also wished the DLC had more meat to it since I heard each of them can be beaten within 30 minutes, which is not good for the asking price on the Season Pass even with a discount if you ask me. At least the shooting is still great.

Now when will Rage 1 get here? The game is 9 years old, and I know it has issues with MegaTextures but seeing Wolfenstein: TNO and TOB are on GOG now I don't see why not bring Rage here.

StingingVelvet:
Seconded. The side characters fall a bit on the caricature side of things to the point where the fan theories are that it all takes place as a hallucination.

The repetitive level design for some of the later return type missions are almost Dragon Age 2 level. But just like Dragon Age 2, the gameplay is solid and enjoyable.

Given the current discount though, I think I will wait for something deeper here.
What's up with the pricing on GOG lately? This year, I've noticed on several occasions that "Deluxe" or 'Complete" versions of games are priced higher than the sum of their components. In this case, the base game is on sale for $15.99 and the season pass is on sale for $7.49, which is $23.48 total. The Deluxe edition, which is simply the base game plus the season pass, is on sale for $23.99 -- $0.52 greater than the sum of its components. Sure, it's only a small increase, but a "Deluxe" version is supposed to be a deal; it's supposed to be less costly , not more costly.

I've noticed that too. For the same getting them separately it cost me £15.39 or together (the Deluxe) it costs £19.99?

That shouldn't be the case.
I have two separate game entries in my library, only one being the German Edition, and I was easily able to download the offline installers for the normal edition.

You may need to recheck or refresh your library.
