There's priests & rogues too!

Wizards & Warriors is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The cult classic, Wizardry-like first-person RPG, returns. Wanna be an elephantoid Omphaaz, a feline Whiskah (night vision baby) or a boring human? Form a six-person team, then roam the land of Gael Cerran searching for an evil that's been going unchecked for too long and maybe lost treasure as well. Set those dungeons ablaze with magic and a mix of real-time and turn-based combat. Like old times.
Releasing good old games, the best way to make us happy. Great release, thanks!

Anyone else getting jerky mouse movement? I'm on Windows 10 Pro running on a 1440p display and the mouse movement in game is pretty much unusable... anyone know of a fix?
A great release, no doubt! Let's see if it ends up in my library before sale ends, depending on if we are going to have some surprises in the flash deals or we have already seen it all...

And talking about this one, how about some Wizardry series love in this sale? Or are you waiting for the anniversary sale...?

trusteft: I never played this game. I can barely remember the title, but perhaps I am mistaken about that.
I assume the exploration is in real time and combat is in turn based?

What about the "world", are we talking about open world exploration or a more linear approach?
There are 3 town hubs. You're free to explore the areas surrounding each hub, but you're locked to that hub until you advance the plot.
How is the difficulty/design of the game? Does it punish experimentation with builds and requires only certain type of group to be able to proceed in the game, or it is more approachable?
Certain race/class combinations are definitely harder to play as (e.g. pixie warrior), but I'd argue that almost anything is doable. Personally, I used to create each party member individually, solo them up to a certain level, then restart the campaign with everyone together as a group. It was difficult, but not impossible.

tremere110: Awesome to see this here. You might want to consider changing some of those screenshots though. Badly pixelated exposed titties though they may be, they are still NSFW.
.....facepalm
Oh my...
Just the other week, after playing Tower of Time a while, i tought about old RPGs with town screens. And Wizards and Warriors was the first one that came to mind.
I was sad that it is not available on GoG. And now here it is...
I will consider even getting it here. It being an old game, i have to assume that there will be no daily installer updating going on :p

tinyE: I would have preferred the NES version, but nice job finally getting this one here. :D
I believe the NES "version" is an entirely different game that just coincidentally happens to share the same title; the titles are different games, not different versions of the same game. In fact, they're not even in the same franchise, or even developed by the same company. They weren't even developed by the same company! They aren't even the same genre! (If you are looking for a platformer, this PC release isn't what you're looking for.)

destructa: A fun thing: enemy item drops are in their inventory prior to dying. So if a bandit attacks, your thief can steal the sword out of his hand...or the pelt off a mountain lion! That's some thievery!
Reminds me of Ultima 6, where you could use a spell to pickpocket food from animals without killing them (although, for some reason, stealing the food this way is worse for your karma).

I guess I have the same problem. The cursor seems to have a weird dead zone and only registers quick and long mouse movement.

Can you go back to earlier hubs?
Great release, I'm so excited to play it again.

Are you all on Windows 10, then? maybe it's something specific to that OS, something that would not be a surprise, anyway lol
