Hikage1983: For a complete XSEED pc catalogue, it will take far more than just Bullet Witch. Tho to my knowledge, that is the only one missing that has a DRM-free version elsewhere.
I know, but THAT title was offered and rejected by curation here. The other DRM games are unlikely to come here, but who knows what could happen. I did not see the Blizzard titles or "Blade Runner" ever coming here, either.
Bought. I like good games at these price points.

Anime-BlackWolf: And bought. Now reconsider and bring "Bullet Witch" here, too, so we can have ALL XSEED titles here. Thanks!

And that DRM free version is on sale right now, which I just got. I like my games DRM free.

Korotan: I never heard of the gameserious before. Can you people explain me, what this game is about or better how the gameplay is? I can hardly imagine if it would be for me or not.
Here's what it's like:
* At the start of the game, you create a party of adventurers. The party can have up to 6 characters, and it is recommended that you use 6, particularly if you're new to the game.
* In town (which is just a series of menus), you can do various things, like buy equipment, let your characters rest, and even (try to) revive characters in the temple (for a fee, and this can fail).
* The dungeon, where all the action takes place, is grid-based; you can move forward or backward, turn left or right (don't know if there's a way to strafe), or go into menus to do things like cast non-combat spells or search for secret doors.
* Battles happen randomly as you explore the dungeon. Battles use a phased turn-based system; first, you enter commands for each character, then those commands, as well as the enemy's actions, are executed in random order (though the Agility stat may influence the order). The battle system is non-tactical; there is no positioning other than front or back row, and you never select a spot to move.

Other GOG games that are similar to this include:
* Elminage Gothic
* Serment: Contract With a Devil (but no party creation, and with time aspects similar to Recettear)
* Bard's Tale Trilogy Remastered (but towns are explorable, and BT3 gets rid of many of the services you'd normally get in town)
* Wizardry 6-7 (but no towns, though NPCs can be found in the dungeon, and WIzardry 7 has outdoor areas)
* Mary Skelter: Nightmares (I haven't been able to get this game to work on Linux, however)

Thank you for the description though I wonder why you give me other Wizardry games as an example though I said, that I never heard of the series. Anyway it helped and I think I will try it.

The list serves as a list of other games to try, and it also highlights some of the differences.

It's worth noting that, for example, Labyrinth of Lost Souls is actually a Japanese spin-off, and those spin-offs are most similar to the early Wizardry games (1-3 and perhaps 5); the main series produced by Sir-Tech took a different direction starting with the 6th game.
One other thing of note: While it is possible to get access to the Deep Dungeons right away, it is not a good idea to go there first; I think you probably want to be at least level 30 or so. Early on, I ran into a level 39 enemy that could hit for over 800 damage (when the most HP of any of the pre-made characters is 52).

Start with one of the other two dungeons first.
grabbed it thanks gog

Does patience=grinding in this game?
It's been 20 years...

I just wish we also had Tale of the Forsaken Land port on PC...

Tale of the Forsaken Land is better than this game in nearly every way. It's a shame it'll likely never be re-released, but it's definitely a treasure. Ah well, there's always PCSX2, I suppose.
Currently 3rd best selling game on gog.

Of the week/month? Within a set time frame?

Also that's nice to hear....maybe it'll get GOG to reconsider a few other titles it rejected before. :)

(Also this is really gonna stick it in the craw of a certain naysayer)
