The Caribbean Dream.

Windward, a sandbox adventure on the high seas, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get it now for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 35% launch discount.

Love it or hate it, Windward is making waves. Something of a sandbox Pirates! release with Diablo/Torchlight influences, Windwardis about making your own adventure on the high seas of an ever-Caribbean world. In a manner that defines sandbox gameplay, this is a title that will not drag you along for an epic adventure - instead, it'll offer you a land (and sea) of opportunity littered with procedurally generated landscapes, challenge and activities. Sail the seas alone, or form a band with your friends thanks to seamless multiplayer drop-in/drop-out - then trade, pillage or plunder in this: your 100% own pirate adventure. Windward is a beautiful, free, and tranquil experience that may just float your boat.

Live the DIY Carribean dream in Windward! The 35% launch discount will last for 24 hours, until Wednesday, July 1 at 1:59 PM GMT. Afterwards, the game will be available 15% off until Tuesday, July 7, at 1:59 PM GMT.
Hmm, this is a suprise.
I already have it since i bougth the 4 pack bundle on steam sale.
Migth buy it later here, not sure yet.

Now, i havent played a lot of the game yet, but the little i have spent playiing it i must say that i liked it.
Pretty chill game, no stress.
Its easy to jump in and out if you dont have time to get engrossed and invested in a game.
It is not as great as Pirates and other such similliar games and there is room for improvement but i woud say it at least passes my stamp of aproval so far.
Need to play a bit more Though.

Nice, had this on my Steam wishlist, but i need to talk with a buddy to see if he wants to play this coop.

Edit: I'm a bit confused, "The 35% launch discount will last for 24 hours, until Wednesday, July 2 at 1:59 PM GMT.", if the game was released almost an hour ago wouldn't it end tomorrow at the same time? Otherwise it's 35 hours and not 24h.

Wishlisted... Now where is my Curse of Monkey Island?
Looks cool.
Looks like Overboard!...Guess my son will like it
I'll wishlist it, and wait till a much higher discount. It looks nice, but with the mixed reviews and the emphasis on multiplayer i won't spend more than EUR 2.50 on it.
looks good but the "best when played with others" turns off my normal "single player" mentality... maybe later..
I've read/heard about that. Not bad but slightly repetitive, I may get this one of those times I need that type of stuff. :)
Look fun but... wishlisted for now.
Is this similar to that old Psygnosis "pirate ship" game? Cannot remember the name ...
Why is it snowing in the Caribbean?
I think you need to take down your 2014 calender. The 2nd of July falls on a Thursday this year, Wednesday being the 1st of July.

I freaked out when I saw this on the front page, as I've been dying for a pirate RPG (I've actually been hoping for GoG to put up a few of the later Sea Dogs games). If you've played Sea Dogs, could you say if this is like those games?

Or is this closer to a Diablo / Drox Operative / Soldak at Sea game? I'm not sure if that's exactly what I'm looking for right now.
