For many gamers, those were the first hot-seat games of childhood. Warlords series is back on our PCs thanks to Slitherine and GOG.COM. Check out turn-based strategy titles that preceded games like Heroes of Might and Magic.

As a leader of one of the fantasy factions, you have to conquer the land, vanquish your enemies while searching for magical treasures and beasts. Warlords I + II and Warlords III: Darklords Rising are games that still provide lots of fun in single and multiplayer and are quite a challenge even for experienced gamers.

So great to see GOG keeps bringing childhood memories back! There is obviously a lot of work behind the scenes and it's nice when things work out. :)

Oh okay, thanks for pointing that out!

"Expanded Gameplay: 4 campaigns and 15 stand-alone scenarios, plus the original campaign and 13 scenarios from Warlords III Reign of Heroes."

edit: I do wonder if it should be more obvious on the page that Reign of Heroes is included, maybe in bold, unless people who grew up with Darklords Rising know it includes all Reign of Heroes content. (Wikipedia makes it seem like Darklords Rising doesn't have RoH content, so I'm not exactly sure what's going on. :P Is this like a special release GOG put together?) I also wonder if people will try to search "reign of heroes" and not have it show up, but maybe most will just search for "warlords 3"

Thanks, GOG! Warlords I & II were indeed my very first hotseat games. Good times. :)

For whatever reason, I have not succeeded in getting the original Warlords III to work on Win 10, but this version does (after starting the game twice, first launch gave an error).
