Mobeeuz: No doubt you will be just as understanding towards a single player-only Dawn of War Master Collection as well.
Game page already says there will be multiplayer, but not cross platform.
avatar
XYCat: all of that are things for multiplayer. If GOG release doesn't have multiplayer then these are pointless to have.

Also before the usual suspects start raging, next to nobody was playing that multiplayer. Not because it was bad, it was actually sort of entertaining, but it never had any big community, didn't really have good servers, and it's an old game, most people moved on. Not having having the multiplayer and its DLCs is not a loss and whoever really really really wants to have a match or two in an outdated multiplayer game with that handful of people having a similar craving, then you can buy it on steam.
The sad part that the coop mode could have still worked as an arena mode even after the community moved on, only if they bothered to add some balancing presets for solo players. What a waste.

Mark-Mark: The steam version had steam MP support and LAN support (at least it did when I played it some time ago).
avatar
Plok_HR: They gutted LAN in the 2014 update.
It seems you are correct and I am wrong. Sega really acted like total knuckle-heads
Excellent addition to the GOG catalogue.
avatar
Ghildrean: There are no single-player DLCs for Space Marine, all DLCs are multiplayer related stuff like new game modes and maps (Chaos Unleashed and Dreadnought Assault) or purely cosmetic skins.
avatar
Plok_HR: The skins aren't usable in singleplayer, then?
No, only multiplayer.
Oh wow, Dawn of War upcoming, i will purchase here, great rts game collection. Great addition Gog.
I'm starting to be concerned about multiplayer part for Dawn of War . I personally have retail version, which has both LAN and direct ip multiplayer (also GameSpy one, but this one is no longer functional).

Just installed the Steam version of Soulstorm...and yeah, it has ONLY tied to Steam multiplayer. Which probably means that GOG version will be this version, just with swapped "Steam-only" multiplayer with "Galaxy-only" multiplayer. And most probably - no trace of direct ip and LAN multiplayer.

Also wondering, if the Unification mod and Ultimate Apocalypse mod will work with GOG version of the game. Very cool mods with huge amount of content, it's not a surprise that they're extremelly popular amongst DoW 1 players.

Ancient-Red-Dragon: They should have done the work to make multiplayer enabled and featuring Crossplay for Space Marine, and also to make Crossplay work with Dawn of War Collection.
I'm sure the multiplayer for this game is still popular enough to do that work, right? And I'm sure if they used the client for said multiplayer you'd complain, so they'd have to build in a new LAN system. I'm sure it would have been worth it though for those massive GOG sales numbers, right?

To be on the safe side I am assuming that the GOG build is coming with DRMed multiplayer only (the wording on the store page very much implies that). So I will look at its price tag considering that this is a solo-only build.

Yes, totally agree with you, I also suspect we'll receive Galaxy-only multiplayer (written about it in second paragraph of my previous post :)).

Guess that there are also zero chances for some kind of "legacy build" (version before cutting off other multiplayer variants) in bonus section and it will be (most probably) only the version directly taken from Steam (with only difference of using Galaxy instead of Steam for MP).

Fantastic to see both of these added!

Now if you could just get Space Hulk (2013) I'd be very happy indeed...
Already played the hell of it on the XBox, but instabought to play again!
Finally, Dawn of War. Someone bring me a bowl of milk to lubricate my words as I eat them with a smile.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine: " Please note: The DRM-Free version of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is single-player only."

I know this has become the standard now, but it's really pathetic that GOG users are charged the same price as Steam users but get only half of the content/playability. If they're going to treat us this way, they could at least include a bottle of lube.
