There will be blood. Delicious blood.

Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™, the timeless RPG masterpiece that has sucked many a gamer's time, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Intoxicating. Macabre. Vital. These are both traits of blood and of Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™, the RPG that forever changed expectations on how the creatures of the night should be depicted in videogames. Was it the ridiculous replayability? The versatility of our vampiric abilities? The gripping visual and sound design? Perhaps the memorable NPCs and stellar writing. One thing is for certain: much like the daunting Antediluvians, this is a game whose allure only grows stronger with time. No point in resisting it any longer.

Sink your teeth into the definitive bloodsucking experience that is Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Note: This version includes third-party technical fixes, courtesy of Wesp5. The full unofficial patch, which also includes additional content, can be found over at Patches Scrolls.

Nice release. Probably the GOG's bestseller for a few days !
Basically, the game is fixed, patched vanilla content without additional, non-vanilla altered new content that detract or change original experience.
So just that Wesp one then?
Fair enough, better than the vanilla crashtastic physical/steam version at any rate.
Might indeed give this a third repurchase during a significant sale.

Projectsonic: Thanks for the unofficial patch link, I was about to ask about where to find that.

Venita: The game has the basic version of the patch already inside :)

javihyuga: LOL. After years of "OMG, Bloodlines on GOG would be sooo nice, I'd pay a lot" and now it's finally here, most posts are: "OMG, the same price as on every other store??!! TOO EXPENSIVE" xD
What did you expect? That instead of the 20 $ it costs on Steam, they would allow GOG to sell it at 5$?
BTW, nice to see the fair price for €.
You do realize you're probably talking about 2 different groups of people? :P

It is here, FINALLY!! Thanks GOG. [s]Though I think I have it on Steam already[/s]Correction:I don't have it on Steam, it was only on my wishlist!! Hell yeah! And I'm not buying it for that price.

But I will buy it discounted in any case!

adaliabooks: So.... what's all the fuss about?

I have to say I'd never actually heard of this game before coming to GoG, but I've heard a hell of a lot about it since then.

What kind of RPG is it? What's the closest comparison to another game?

Not sure whether to add to my wishlist or not (certainly not picking it up yet at that price)
Me neither until six months ago, I've got it recently during Activision sale on steam and I'd say this is a must have if you even remotely like RPGs. I think it might be discounted in the next sale so I'd suggest to wait for but definitely get it during sale.

This game is mainly praised for excellent clan implementation, for eg. a toreador clan is more social vampire as opposed to Nosferatu who are deformed and shouldn't reveal themselves to humans and there's malkavian who get a side of insanity along with their vampirism so even their dialogue is pretty weird, even the NPC's you speak to observe your strange way of talking. Due to that each clan choice plays a bit differently than the other so there's a high replay value. Also you get experience points for completing quests rather than killing enemies and sometimes you'd get more experience points if go a particular way about the quest.
Finally, Instapurchase!
OH DEAR i almost had a heart attack when casually browsing the home page,i still have the retail discs but a digital drm free copy won't hurt, does someone knows if this version is already patched to 1.2?

It has the latest version of the Unofficial patch included.
I guess that also includes the latest official one.
Had I not just lost my job, I would pick this game up in a heart beat. I've wanted it on GOG for a while now, And I'm very glad its finally available.
So this is the most powerful game I've ever played, the kind that you will dream about while playing, and this is also the last Troika game added to GOG to complete the divine trinity :)

One dark point : the localisation is missing -_-
I sure hope the fact that Activision is embrassing GOG again means that some localisation will come to Arcanum, Redemption and Bloodlines ):
What if you want to play the original game, unmodded?
