There will be blood. Delicious blood.

Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™, the timeless RPG masterpiece that has sucked many a gamer's time, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Intoxicating. Macabre. Vital. These are both traits of blood and of Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™, the RPG that forever changed expectations on how the creatures of the night should be depicted in videogames. Was it the ridiculous replayability? The versatility of our vampiric abilities? The gripping visual and sound design? Perhaps the memorable NPCs and stellar writing. One thing is for certain: much like the daunting Antediluvians, this is a game whose allure only grows stronger with time. No point in resisting it any longer.

Sink your teeth into the definitive bloodsucking experience that is Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Note: This version includes third-party technical fixes, courtesy of Wesp5. The full unofficial patch, which also includes additional content, can be found over at Patches Scrolls.

Considering it's been on Steam for ages? :P
Just think it's weird not to have a release discount on here.
I don't know if I ever bought and downloaded a GOG game as quickly as this one. :D
Oh. Thats pretty amazing.

Thanks a lot GOG.
Good that I still have my disk because that price is far to high for me.

Smannesman: Sure, nice you finally got it here.. but that price?
For me 19.99€ on Steam, 17.59€ on GOG. A problem?

Bloody happy to see Bloodlines on GOG, but not with this pricetag.
As I already own two physical copies of the game, and one digital (dotemo), I'll wait for a sale. Hope the GOG Bears don't take me away in the night...
So.... what's all the fuss about?

I have to say I'd never actually heard of this game before coming to GoG, but I've heard a hell of a lot about it since then.

What kind of RPG is it? What's the closest comparison to another game?

Not sure whether to add to my wishlist or not (certainly not picking it up yet at that price)

DrearierSpider: Very surprised you finally managed to negociate this one with Activision. Can't justify spending the full $20 considering how often the Steam version goes on sale, but I'll gladly re-buy this at $5. Great to see it comes with the unofficial patch included considering how broken it is without it.

snowkatt: i finished bloodlines several times with out the unofficial patch
Just going by what I've heard about the amount of bugs/glitches present. And the game doesn't even run on modern OS's (Windows 7 or later, though it may just be 64 bit related) without the fixes in the unofficial patch, something I can attest to first hand.
nvm

it's 64 bit related it runs on 32 bit windows 7 just not very well ( some times it locks in on the low quality textures or just gives you a white screen or an out of v memory error)

i played the game mostly on XP

but even with the unofficial patch its still glitchy
without it ...well its not exactly unplayable but it has issues
