There will be blood. Delicious blood.

Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™, the timeless RPG masterpiece that has sucked many a gamer's time, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Intoxicating. Macabre. Vital. These are both traits of blood and of Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™, the RPG that forever changed expectations on how the creatures of the night should be depicted in videogames. Was it the ridiculous replayability? The versatility of our vampiric abilities? The gripping visual and sound design? Perhaps the memorable NPCs and stellar writing. One thing is for certain: much like the daunting Antediluvians, this is a game whose allure only grows stronger with time. No point in resisting it any longer.

Sink your teeth into the definitive bloodsucking experience that is Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Note: This version includes third-party technical fixes, courtesy of Wesp5. The full unofficial patch, which also includes additional content, can be found over at Patches Scrolls.

HiPhish: What's with the price? This game is almost 12 years old and this is no special remastered edition (I'm not counting including mods made by other people for free to be a remaster).
Considering there have been people here in the forums agitating for this game for years, Gog can get away with the high price.
Great release but beyond my budget for single GOG game...I'll just wait for promo.

Siegor: There are several clans divided into 2 sects: the Camarilla that tries to uphold the Masquerade and the Sabbat who think they should rule mortals.
avatar
JMich: You forgot the neutrals, which don't really care for sect politics, but do have a clan goal they are working towards. Depending on circumstances, you may find them leaning towards either of the 2 sects, or opposing both at the same time. But I don't recall them in the game that much.
Yes, you're right. If i'm not mistaken Gangrel became Independent in early 2000s but they are still Camarilla in the game.
There's also all the Cain and antedilluvian mythology but that would require going into too much detail.
Edit: Oh and nowadays (at least in the card game) there's a third sect, the Laibon. Oh and there are bloodlines like Kyasid and gargoyles...
I'll stop now ;)

KiNgBrAdLeY7: Remember then to pick up the data CD from Hollywood sewers and turn it in to Bertram Tung. A nosferatu exclusive quest.
Thanks for the tip, didn't know that one.
I think i only played with malkavian, tremere and gangrel by now.

Reever: Oh and just to be sure, was there ever any problems with this game being censored in Germany? I hate censorship.

Danke! Doesn't look too bad though. But isn't GOG selling the US version? I'm going to download the game in English, anyway.

Hey, Activision's first release here in almost four years. If I were still buying things here, I'd totally get it during the next 60% off sale. Fingers crossed for some more Sierra classics.

I think they only sell the uncensored version of the game.

LMFAO $20!? oh wait . . . forgot this was Activision. Purchase this to show your gratitude to Bobby Kotick for bringing advanced jewery to the industry.

tfishell: At least in USD, it's the same price as on Steam - $20. I'd take issue with no competitive release discount, just for the sake of GOG moving copies. EDIT: because complaining is bad
In euros i don't know why but it's cheaper than on steam,here it's 17,59 while on steam it's 19,99
The good news is that it's here. The bad news is that I don't have a computer on which to play it anyway and I lack the funding for that price.
I played this back in 2005, awesome game! I can't believe you guys finally got it!

It's cheaper because GOG doesn't use stupid Steam USD=EUR pricing. ;P

gibbeynator: If I were still buying things here
You stopped buying because GOG's pillars have crumbled?
Yeah! Its finally here! Whats that? 20$? hell no, way to pricey for me, i will stick with my DVD copy for now.

tfishell: Hopefully Emperor Rise of the Middle Kingdom finally shows up after four years of waiting, along with SWAT 4, missing Sierra adventures, etc.
I'm hoping for the missing King's Quest and Space Quest games to finally appear (the missing versions)
