Cocktails and dystopian tales

VA-11 Hall-A, a bar frequented by the most intriguing patrons of dystopian Glitch City, is open now for Windows, Mac, and Linux DRM-free on GOG.com.

Everyday life is controlled by an oppressive regime, hope is fading, and personal liberty is an unattainable commodity. People need someone to share their burdens with and who better than the bartender of a downtown joint that attracts the most diverse, colorful clientele? You are that bartender and these are your people. Mix them their favorite drink, offer a sympathetic ear, and watch their stories unfold. Every drink you prepare might stir the narrative a different way and change the lives of your customers. All you need to do is help loosen their tongue and lighten their mood - then all their secrets will be yours.

Keep the drinks and the story flowing as you tend to the distressed partons of the VA-11 Hall-A bar, available now DRM-free on GOG.com.

Wishlisted. But how come the GOG version doesn't have the OST included?
I can finally be a bartender! In a dystopian cyberpunk future no less! On the other hand, missing prologue?

Should it?

A prologue soundtrack is included if you get it from itch.io along with a prologue chapter currently missing from Steam and GOG.

All I see there is the Prologue OST and no mention of a full OST. Since the Prologue is currently not included in either Steam or GOG, I'm not surprised as to why it's not included in either store. Maybe it will change when the Prologue eventually arrives.

Hmm, looks interesting...

shmerl: Reminds me of Papers Please, at least in part.
Yes, that was my first impression as well. Sort of like that game crossed with a visual novel. Could be quite good, depends on how well written and engaging the storyline is.

it does, its a bit to dark for my eyes, and the effects and animations is too much (motion/photosenitive)

so i will sit this one out aswell.

4x secretfiles and 2x lost horizion would be a buy ( own the games but they have nasty drm)
plus add chronicles of zerzura , and other games like that and i am in.
other games: alternativa , night long..... etc etc

I thought that too. Even tried some connection between the developers...
I guess is the graphic style.
So on a scale of SNATCHER to Beneath a Steel Sky, how Cyberpunk is this?

J_Darnley: Don't be too hard on the poor guy. Poe's Law makes things very hard these days.
Nay, I disagree, it was pretty obvious. Actual SJWs aren't polite. Like, at all.

I haven't played SNATCHER but I did play BaSS :)

So here's how cyberpunk it actually is:

- robotic limbs
- dogs with voice box implants (or something) that can talk to people
- very visible artificial eyes
- there is an organization that is supposed to protect people but it's very corrupt
- artificial intelligence that inhabits artificial human bodies called "Lillims"
- you meet a character who is a brain who is having his measurements and everything else taken in real time for scientific study
Guys, this game is fucking cool.

Like, I've been following it for a while, and was kind of on the fence because of how... unusual it is. But no. It's great.

I doubt she missed it; when it comes to feminism, she's the inarticulate version of dtgreene.

Tyrrhia: Damn, now I'm curious. :D

sunshinecorp: I am too. I'm waiting to be surprised.
Spiritbusters? Wait I know: Boozeguzzlers!
