Cocktails and dystopian tales

VA-11 Hall-A, a bar frequented by the most intriguing patrons of dystopian Glitch City, is open now for Windows, Mac, and Linux DRM-free on GOG.com.

Everyday life is controlled by an oppressive regime, hope is fading, and personal liberty is an unattainable commodity. People need someone to share their burdens with and who better than the bartender of a downtown joint that attracts the most diverse, colorful clientele? You are that bartender and these are your people. Mix them their favorite drink, offer a sympathetic ear, and watch their stories unfold. Every drink you prepare might stir the narrative a different way and change the lives of your customers. All you need to do is help loosen their tongue and lighten their mood - then all their secrets will be yours.

Keep the drinks and the story flowing as you tend to the distressed partons of the VA-11 Hall-A bar, available now DRM-free on GOG.com.

I kinda can't believe GOG's letting this get released here.

Needless to say, I'm relieved. This game has looked really cool since it was first announced, and I'm glad I can buy it here.

The music's amazing, btw.

Considering I never heard them targeting GOG for a release, I'm a bit surprised too.
Does this come with achievements in the Galaxy client?
I also didn't expect a GOG release.
Loved the demo and the prologue, so instant-buy.

That sounds pretty niche-like.

J_Darnley: Of course. Waifus are sexist because of objectification and the male gaze. They're also ableist because they are conventionally attractive. And they're racist because they're all white presenting. Thank you to France for leading the way in combating these scourges in video games.
Congrats on being retarded.
Well that's... niche.

Rest assured, I understand your instinctive reaction of calling people who use terms like "objectification" and "male gaze" "retarded", but I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic ;P.

The devs did mention that they were going to release the game on GOG a while back... I just assumed GOG was going to shoot it down.

I only caught wind of them wanting to try getting it on GOG in their more recent blog posts, didn't think it was going to happen at launch though for whatever reason. Their original stuff with the prologue and promotion etc. only discussed Itch.io, Humble, and Steam.
That said I put a preorder in way back during their $5 USD campaign so I hope it's honored. This is something I was waiting for and it'd be nice to not have to redo the purchase since that would leave me a little bit of funds open for one last purchase during this summer sale!
