WildHobgoblin: Mhm, not a fan of the artstyle, I have to say...
And the puzzles are incredibly easy as well, apparently, according to reative00?
So how's the plot? Anything noteworthy in that regard?
Otherwise that will be a three/three pass for me... (not to bash the game or anything, just trying to figure out if it's something I might want to play).
tbh it's not my kind of art aswell.... then again i was 'raised' with pixel graphics ( the real good ones not the games they release where the graphics look like zoomed in mosaics) i have all wadjet eye games havent finished any but i like them , they use the good old AGS.
The art in Unforeseen Incidents is more like flashcartoons but with a better colorscheme, flashcartoons look like, well they look like sh it to me :D
atrus80: although i'm not so keen on the art style, i'd like to give it a shot! but why they are using Unity engine for an adventure game, is a mystery to me, so much waste of resources...
Total waste of resources indeed, i hope more of the same games ( made with AGS) will arrive soon on Steam... i have loads of "more of the same games" (niche games) and i love it, many of them are 'drm free' cause they need to be installed and downloaded with the evil steam client but afterwards you can archive (zip, rar, 7zip) and run on another PC cause they dont need the client, most of the games were written using AGS.
reative00: Just jumped to act 3, I'm at 4 hours 40 minutes (although I suck at adventure games so it's probably closer to 3h for someone experienced).
I wouldn't bash the game just because it's made on Unity; it's used because it's easily accessible by game devs and bad reputation of Unity comes from its easy use; people will just make trash games on it because it's easier than on any other engine. There are good games made on Unity; Cuphead, Ori, Hollow Knight, a game from Limbo developers which name I don't remember but it was highly rated, bah, Cities: Skyliness was made on it IIRC.
4 hours and more ? thats nice cause when it comes to adventure games i'm even worse so i might take 6 or more hours: 19.99 /6 = 3 and a bit which is a nice amount of cash , problem is: what if the unitygame barbeques my pc?
extreme cpu usage seems to be pretty rare cause everyone seems to have divine pc setups....
I might take another risk , waste 20 euros again.... on yet another unity project..... 20 euros is about 4 good HOG games at a summer/winter sale.
