What can't be cured must be endured.

Unforeseen Incidents is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The Yelltown fever is making the locals uneasy, but they trust this private health contractor to put the situation under control. That is until Harper, the town's easy-going handyman, stumbles upon rumors of a nefarious conspiracy involving that very same organization. With the help of a friendly scientist and an inquisitive reporter, he must step on some powerful toes as he points and clicks his way towards the shocking truth.

reative00: 2h in. It's fun, typical conspiracy story (so far) with nice voiceacting, nice drawings and so far no hard puzzles so fans of that should look for something else. Back to the game, see ya folksy folks.
Thanks for the heads up! Looks like something I might buy.
Very intriguing... Looks quite good.

IFW: So far only this review:

Waiting for more, but looks very promising!
I am hoping for a time when every single adventure game review doesn't feel the need to mention the "revival", "resurgence" or "resurrection" of the genre. That will mean adventure games are not scarce anymore. Still, that day is not today.

Nice one, though, thanks for linking.

Logical puzzles are a plus for me. :)
Also, something worth mentioning; I don't know about performace on low and mid tier PCs, as game is made on Unity; on i5-6600k and GTX 1070 it can take few seconds to switch between locations; while it's not a major issue I can imagine that if this loading time would go up to 15-20 seconds I would get pretty annoyed.
i dig the art style in this game. reminds me of comic book artist sean murphy's sketchy but highly detailed style.
low rated

so they bassically say a 1.2 GHZ (single core) will run the game ?????

Memory: 4 GB RAM --- CHECK
Graphics: 1024 MB VRAM, DirectX 11 --- CHECK
DirectX: Version 11 --- CHECK
Hard drive space: 6 GB --- CHECK

Found this video on youtube : Unforeseen Incidents - First impression/walkthrough PART 1
says its 2h 12 minutes... if correct, this means the game will take a few hours to complete which is good for a game listed at 19.99 of which we get : 3.80 OFF ANY FUTURE PURCHASE so that would make the actual price 16.19 which is an okay 'list' price.

The first 'chapter' seems to be free of lightning which is a good thing cause many times games are laoded with scenes with dark weather and fullscreen lightning which will add to the game but also lots of sore eyes and more :D
so i hope they went easy on the lightning :D

Anyway its unity game again? cahnces are very big my cpu wiill barbeQ again ... the sad thing is only few users have same problem so it will never be fixed.... thats why i was looking for a demo before i get saddled up again with another shelfgame ( thats where bad CPU misusing unitygames end).
Thing is there are unity games that do perform well ... problem is no demo ( i wonder why ?:D) so how will a refund go when a unitygame is burning the cpu with a continous cpu load of 40% or even higher?

I would like to buy it BUT ............. i might be scrwd again :D so what's my guarantee the game will behave on my i5 750 and GTX 750 ti 2 gb ..... too many questions.....

Nice graphical style. Reminds me of some older comics.

BreOl72: Nice graphical style. Reminds me of some older comics.
yup, and older games, good games, good performance.... i'm afraid to get unitygames because of the very bad experience , same goes for awfull wintermute and visionaire players used to play games.... poorly optimised code

My last game was with a female fox or wolf , the game was supposed to be fixed regarding CPU usage but its still too hot... so nothingfixed in my case , then again if only 1 or a handful gamers have that problem... i guess they say tough luck , and thats what scares me out of buying unitygames and other games made with 'klik n play tools'

Fairfox: totes opposite; id take a gazillion pixel art gamies in liek-4-liek genre ovah this scratchee-lookin', stiff-movin', post-flash art style. taht teh polish dude is all ovah it kinda confirms it for me
i like the pixel art gaems 2 yo
Art style is detailed, story looks intriguing and price is on par with "never pay more than 20 buck for videogame."
Onto the shelf it goes.
definitely going on my 'to buy' list, when funds permit

I guess i will wishlist it till 2019 by then the game should have been on a sale and 7.99 maybe worth the risk, afteral it is a Unity game again, and 1 or 2 out of 8 bought games made with unity perform well.

So until i win the Jackpot ( which will never happen ) and able to buy the latest hardware (also adream never come true :D) fit with the max number of best and most expensive fans, then i might buy unity games (might)

Anyway if the Unitygames would be at sale at 99 cents i would take the risk and buy the game :D
cause there is little to no support from gamedevelopers if the problems are not bug related..... :D

Typical reply of any dev ( Steam has dozens of those)
" despite all our efforts we were unable to reproduce the "bla bla bla bla ...." : we tried ... (more bla bla bla bla")
or in short:

"son you are on your own :D"

If a gamedev says "we will look into it but ....and we cant promise ... and more bla bla bla then better start worrying :D
You can imagine the gamedevs like a sketch where someone calls a shop and ask if they have certain parts in stock:
after you asked the friendly salesperson he/she will say:

" Just a moment sir/madam i will search the storage room ... hold on please ...

instead of actually going there she or he moves his fingers in walking position .... on the desk .... a few minutes later : " i'm sorry sir/m'am we are all out of stock....

Thats the way gamedevs work, most of them, some of them a very small number actually will help you out.
Many 'bad' devs (happens a lot at Steam) 'buy' good reviews by giving free keys :D
So the term What can't be cured must be endured. that is used in this topic by topic starter fits the bill perfect, never heard of it so i wanted to make sure what it meant :

Google:

idioms.thefreedictionary.com/
If you cannot do anything about a problem, you will have to live with it. Alan: No matter what I do, I can't make the dog stop barking in the middle of the night. Jane: What can't be cured must be endured, then, I guess.
