T-Rex cutlets is what's for dinner.

<span class="bold">Turok</span>, the remastered fast-paced jurrassic FPS, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com with a 20% launch discount.

Remember when dinosaurs were all the rage and aliens were still scary? Ah, yes, the 90s. What a magical time to be growing up. Imagine a jungle-like land populated with unfriendly aliens. Now throw in some aggressive flora for added inhospitality. Surely, dinosaurs are the next logical addition. No wait, make that dinosaurs with guns. All that's missing now is an angry Native American warrior of time-travelling heritage to clean up the mess and thwart a great evil in the process. There, pure 90s.

Thankfully, Turok is not in the habit of entering such exotic-but-hostile lands unprepared. Strapped across his back are all kinds of devastating weapons, from the not-so-humble bow and knife to handheld instruments of mass destruction like miniguns and rocket-launchers. Plus all the havoc they wreak now looks extra spiffy in this remastered version, thanks to widescreen and high resolutions support, improved level design and fancy lighting effects.

Bring an army of oversized reptiles closer to extinction as the legendary <span class="bold">Turok</span>, now DRM-free on GOG.com. The 20% launch discount will last until December 24, 17:59 PM GMT.

Lodium: Bit pricey as others have said even if its for a remaster and thats with the discount
Woud be ok if the price was around 12

Max_R: A long time ago GOG meant Good Old Games and there was two prices categories: 5$ and 10$, not 12€ or 20€, do you remember? I miss those times.
I remember those times....

No Star Wars games
No Stardock games
No Deep Silver games
No Bethesda games
No Shadowrun games
No Larian Studioes games
No Pillars of Eternity, Prison Architect, Sim City 4, Might and Magic V, etc.

Yeah, those times weren't that great.
I enjoy saving money as much as anyone else, but an extra $10 increase in pricing is a small price to pay for an increase in GoG's catalog.
Release price immediately killed my curiosity about it, heh. Especially when compared to the acclaimed System Shocks. It's not even NOLF. :P

Destructoids review is out, 6.5 out of 10.
It was mentioned on stream that this port is reverse-engineered of the N64 version with many renderer and map design alterations but it's not surprise as person behind this also worked before on reverse-engineered Doom64 and Exhumed N64 ports so he has some experience.

Thanks for the link.
$5 game for me.
Maybe by this summer
Bought and played the original on first release.
Never thought it was anything special.

The only thing going for it were the dinosaurs.

Concluding ... the price is joke.
Holy fuckin' christ, Turok! Seriously?! I honestly didn't even know this wa available for PC. That's just awsome!
Sure, like others here, Turok has some nostalgia for me but at a base price of $19.99?

WIshlisted for now but as it is $19.99 is far too expensive for a nostalgia trip, especially considering the game wasn't all that impressive even at the time of release.

Barry_Woodward: For those concerned about the price, keep in mind that this isn't just a simple re-release. Night Dive put a lot of effort into remastering the game, working with the source code.
Now, I'm not at all less concerned by price.

But thanks for the try.
How expensive were the HD versions of Serious Sam when they were released?

Remember though that GOG doesn't have final say in setting the price. They may get input in cases where they help make the games run again on modern machines, but the price was ultimately up to Night Dive.

And like somebody else mentioned, if we still only had $6 and $10 price points, we'd be seeing far fewer games here. (Granted I won't spend more than 5 or 6 on a game currently [ie, I usually only buy during sales].)

I can understand that "new games" have another price tag than classics and have no problem with it, but € 18,19 for a remastered classic game is a bit steep in my opinion. Especially without any extras except for avatars and a wallpaper.

Never advanced much in the original PC game because only had a checkpoint/savepoint system...

I agree that $10 or $15 would have been better; I probably won't grab this until a 60-75% off sale.

I was just saying I don't think we can blame GOG for the price (as a few - not many - people seem to be doing).
How about Strife: Veteran Edition?
