T-Rex cutlets is what's for dinner.

Turok, the remastered fast-paced jurrassic FPS, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com with a 20% launch discount.

Remember when dinosaurs were all the rage and aliens were still scary? Ah, yes, the 90s. What a magical time to be growing up. Imagine a jungle-like land populated with unfriendly aliens. Now throw in some aggressive flora for added inhospitality. Surely, dinosaurs are the next logical addition. No wait, make that dinosaurs with guns. All that's missing now is an angry Native American warrior of time-travelling heritage to clean up the mess and thwart a great evil in the process. There, pure 90s.

Thankfully, Turok is not in the habit of entering such exotic-but-hostile lands unprepared. Strapped across his back are all kinds of devastating weapons, from the not-so-humble bow and knife to handheld instruments of mass destruction like miniguns and rocket-launchers. Plus all the havoc they wreak now looks extra spiffy in this remastered version, thanks to widescreen and high resolutions support, improved level design and fancy lighting effects.

Bring an army of oversized reptiles closer to extinction as the legendary Turok, now DRM-free on GOG.com. The 20% launch discount will last until December 24, 17:59 PM GMT.
Watching the gog stream and it seems to run fine. Now I don't know if I should get it or not given the bug reports.

blotunga: I don't think i've ever finished a single player FPS. I played a lot of Quake and UT etc multiplayer but the single player never worked for me.

Klumpen0815: Not even the original Unreal?
I finally finished it a few years ago in widescreen hd etc... and it was excellent.
Shadow Warrior 2013 was a lot of fun too.

Both are beautiful on the in- and outside in vastly different ways.
The closest i came was Duke Nulem Forever, but kept dying in some boss fight and gave up. I didn't played the original Unreal, nor Sw 2013. I tried the old SW once but never even managed to finish the first level. In Duke Nukem 3d at least i got around level 4 or so.
No thanks, I still have a working N-64 and the game.

On the stream the dev said there is a new build already uploaded, which will be available soon. He mentioned Galaxy being the culprit in some way.
Nice release. I never played this one, and I love 90's-shooters, but it is not within my budget. I'll wait for a sale. Any news on Strife? :)
The price is a bit high for this guys. $20 normal price is going to mean many who wanted this game are going to pass. I understand it was a lot of work getting it working on modern machines with the features you've added, but you didn't do enough to justify THAT much of a price hike. That would have included better models and textures, ala MDK2 HD or something.

I'm not going to say you should have gone with 9.99 for your price. That's too little in my opinion. $14.99, that's the price I would have put on this.

You definitely tried the wrong ones. Duke Nukem Forever is considered a turd everywhere, the old Shadow Warrior is extremely hard and Duke3D is something I'd give advanced fps-fans.

Unreal, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, SW2013 and maybe the first Half-Life are what I'd recommend to most people.
I liked it when I played it on the N64 but I can't tell if I want this or not. Ehhhh, stick it on the wishlist for now...
Instabought without hesitation. Pricey, but absolutely worth it in my opinion. One of my favorite shooters.
Nice and interesting (never played it, but was always interested by it), but pricey. I'll wait for a sale :)

Ah good, hopefully it solves the crashing and speed issues some are having.

Galaxy being the culprit, why am I not surprised? :P
Heard about this game in the past but never played it. It was time of Quake, Doom and Blood so this kind of just flew past me. Wishlisted for now.

It was quite good for a fully 3D rendered console FPS, though the platforming could be tough as it had an unusual large amount of it for an FPS. Used to have it on N64.
Hmm. I get that it is remastered and all, but Battle of the Bionosaurs on the Gameboy has aged graphically better.
