UPDATE: What the people want, the people shall get. The President has decreed that, as of today, all 12 available Tropico 5 DLC shall be bundled and included in the <span class="bold">Tropico 5 Complete Collection</span>, also available to the loyal but apprehensive subjects as a <span class="bold">Tropico 5 Complete Collection Upgrade</span>. More buildings, more scenarios, more maps, more craziness.
But El Presidente's generosity knows no bounds, hence he also decided to permanently decrease the prices of his latest adventures, accurately depicted in Tropico 5, Tropico 4, and Tropico 4 Complete DLC Pack. Go ahead and cheer in celebration. It's mandatory.

If you own Tropico 5 already, you'll find a unique 66% discount code for the Tropico 5 Complete Collection Upgrade on your game shelf. Head to My Account and locate Tropico 5 to find your code.

The newest, the biggest.

<span class="bold">Tropico 5</span>, the latest and greatest in the whimsical city-management series, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with GOG Galaxy support for achievements and multiplayer.

You rule, El Presidente! For years, for decades, for generations. Forever, and ever, and ever.
If you're not familiar with Tropico 5 or the series, it's a game that mixes familiar city-management gameplay with a fair bit of political play. As El Presidente, from the late colonial era through modern day, you will ensure that your little republic has a stable economy, a healthy flora and fauna, a content populace, and no uprisings whatsoever. Nope. None at all.
Or at least that's what the papers say, but Tropico 5 offers you the enigmatic look behind the closed curtains of a wacky banana republic led by an incredible egomaniac. You.

Universally considered to be the most successful, cumulative refinement of the mechanics from Tropico 3 & 4, Tropico 5 is the latest and greatest of the series. With more challenge than ever before, new ways to see your republic grow, and - for the first time ever - multiplayer support, it's a must-have for fans of the series, interested newcomers, and you, El Presidente.

Ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, banana republic - <span class="bold">Tropico 5</span> is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Hmmm...
Oooooooh! Off to read some reviews whether I would prefer this one to any of the earlier ones.
Maybe I should try this series. I think I have #1 (never played) but the sale might push me for a few of the others.
Nice, but yet again a game that's available for Linux & Mac on Steam is only available for Windows here :/

*sigh*
Now I've learnt a nice formation known as shield wall; which will be quite effective at repelling primitive weapons such as pitchforks.

I am prepared.

edit: never mind - I didn't realise there was so much DLC! Maybe they'll give it to us when the discount is over on Steam. Since when does GOG release 13 things in one day?

No OS X or Linux support?
Bring it to LINUX NOW.
That's a damn tempting debut discount, in spite of me not having played the ones I own already. Quelle surprise, that.
No DLC Collection?!
Oh god, that is torture! I absolutely love Tropico 3, and now not only is Tropico 5 on GOG.com, but there's also a bundle with Tropico 4? I am sooo tempted, and I might be able to justify it, since I barely bought anything since May (except for the F.E.A.R. bundle during this sale). On the other hand, it's still 16€ that I really shouldn't spend.

Gah, I think I have to pass. If I could just buy Tropico 4 for 8€, I would do it, why don't you give me this option, GOG?

wolfsrain: No DLC Collection?!
Bingo, this is my question as well. What's going to happen with the DLC? There are 13 DLC items for this game on Steam. Will GOG get them? How will they be sold? Separately? In a bundle?
Great, but where are all the DLC for Tropico 5??
I don't want to buy an incomplete game again, especially when I have the complete version on steam...

mattymuc: Great, but where are all the DLC I have for Tropico 5 in my steam collection?
Omg the game has 14 dlc on steam without dlc collection or complete edition.
They should add dlc collection here and on steam too...

missing the following DLC available on Steam: supercomputer, T-Day, Inquisition, Supervillian, Gone Green, Surf's Up!, Joint Venture, Generalissimo, mad world, The Big Cheese, and expansions Espionage and Waterborne. Someone screwed up not offerring these. One other question: is multiplayer cross-compatable with Steam if they own the expansions and what about workshop maps used in MP. Will they download to the GOG install? Total value of the DLC during the current sale on Steam is $40
