Cool. Any chance for Linux edition? (:
I still have the same question I had in the Coming Soon Announcement for this game: does the GOG version's co-op feature allow for Crossplay with St***?
Enjoy! Hope you have fun!

Ancient-Red-Dragon: I still have the same question I had in the Coming Soon Announcement for this game: does the GOG version's co-op feature allow for Crossplay with St***?
From the Trine 5 Pre-Launch FAQ:
Will the game feature cross play between PC/consoles and between Steam/Epic/GOG?

Yes, but with certain limitations. PC, Xbox and Nintendo Switch can all play together if they are using the same build version/number. This WILL NOT be the case at launch, but we are aiming to make it possible WITHIN A MONTH after launch. PlayStation users are left out of cross-play at this point.
Oh man, there's a new sequel already?

I haven't even got to the 4th here
I'm still busy with the DLC of Trine 4 but of course I pre-ordered Trine 5.

I just can't download the installer via Galaxy yet so maybe somebody could check that? :)

But on the plus side: You supported the devs and GoG 20% better than I did :)

Not really. Even if a Linux version is released, THQ Nordic's official policy is to not support Linux on gog.

I can't speak for the policy talk above but from the development perspective we are not working on a Linux port of Trine 5, and it's probably very unlikely. We have found that Linux + Proton is essentially better than trying to develop native Linux versions at this point. I haven't yet tried out how Trine 5 works on Proton but early feedback sounds promising (ProtonDB.org). While I know many folks would like or prefer native versions, the reality is that for a mostly Windows/console centric development team supporting a native Linux port at launch and over the years becomes very difficult and doesn't make much economic sense. We rather focus on providing support on a few targeted platforms but doing a better job at it than trying to spread our resources too thin. Hope this helps understand it a bit.

On a more positive note, thanks everyone for the thoughts and support, we're quite happy with how Trine 5 turned out and hope you enjoy it! :)

Great to see a dev of this great series posting here and thank you for the feedback. Could you reveal anything about the fact that the Trine 3 story never received any conclusion? Will this be part of Trine 5 or is it ever planned to give us the missing concluson for Trine 3 in any form?

Sure, it's a bit sad, but I understand.
I appreciate your answer, thank you.
