Tintin Reporter - Cigars of the Pharaoh OUT NOW!
'Cigars'
A word you would never ever expect to be part of a video game name (especially in the year of our lord 2023).
Definitely made in Europe, where our brains still haven't been entirely washed out.
I get strong Indy vibes from the trailers, but after all - why not!
The game looks good but unfortunately it's more a puzzle game than an action game, so I might only grab it when on sale...

At least, it's a very close adaptation to the comics!
Yay! :)

I will never understand why the developers didn't use the distinct art style of the comics for the game.

Haha, my feelings are that it doesn't seem puzzle-y enough! I would have hoped for a point and click adventure.

Layman's answer:
Probably because that would require "frame-by-frame" animations done in that style.
And those, in return, would require "an army" of animators to draw them.

Whereas with this 3D animations, you simply produce your "mannequin" once, and then change its movements "on the fly".
That can even be done by one guy.

What on earth are you on about?

Joqqemanzinho: What on earth are you on about?
Just a social commentary about how tobacco products are satinized in modern society, especially in North America.
So much that I believe any NA published wouldn't dare to publish a game having that word in it's name (be it a title of an old comic that's used for inspiration or not).
Add a whole bunch of political correctness, the greatest plague of our time, into the mix and you may get an idea where the thought is coming from and what's the statement aimed towards.
I don't even smoke, btw. xD

To you it's too much action.
To me it's too much puzzle-solving.

We both might not have fun with this game :D

Yeah, exactly! Seems like it's stuck in an uncomfortable middle ground.

Looks like I have to watch a longer gameplay video to evaluate how much action or puzzle the game really is.

Funny. While you guys only like one extreme or the other of the "action-puzzle scale" I have no trouble with any amount of either... but my problem with this game is that I never had much interest in Tintin (probably because his cartoons were never given much tv space here in South America. I grew up barely aware that the character exists).

To me it'll probably be a good game that costs too much to justify buying since it doesn't tie into any nostalgic knowledge beyond the basic character acknowledgement.
