Was this the game that the developers themselves warned publicly that the game isn't yet as polished as they wanted it to be because the evil publisher wanted to release it prematurely, but also that they promise to fix it afterwards? I am pretty sure I read some such gaming news earlier this week, and yes it was a Tintin game so unless they've just released several Tintin games lately...

EDIT: Ah yes:

joppo: Funny. While you guys only like one extreme or the other of the "action-puzzle scale" I have no trouble with any amount of either... but my problem with this game is that I never had much interest in Tintin (probably because his cartoons were never given much tv space here in South America. I grew up barely aware that the character exists).
As a kid I owned axactly TWO Tin Tin comic books. But those were very important to me, I must hav read them for a hundred times each. I never saw the show on TV.

joppo: To me it'll probably be a good game that costs too much to justify buying since it doesn't tie into any nostalgic knowledge beyond the basic character acknowledgement.
Games don't have to be tied to nostalgic feeling to be fun. I love the Trine series although I don't have nostalgic feelings for them because those games didn't exist in the 90s :)

Sure. Like I said this is probably a good game within genres I like. But it's a crowded market and my time and money are limited.
As a licensed IP it costs fairly more than (subjectively) equally good unlicensed games, and without the nostalgic push going for it chances are good that it will lose the race to those other games whenever the desire to buy one of them hits me.

A WEEK LATER, STILL NO GALAXY/OFFLINE FILES...

LEGAL ACTION IN EU COURT SOON!!!!!

I feel so tired: Don't make me laugh.
How many lawsuits against GOG have GOG users loudly announced over the years?
Several dozens, you say?
And how many of these loudly announced lawsuits have actually been filed against GOG over the years?
Zero, you say?

Come now - to laugh over these comical announcements is the only appropriate reaction.

That's true. I should've stopped buying games years ago because I don't think I will ever play all of them, at least to take a look at them. But then there's another release and another sale... But I'll try to stop buying games that sound like "so-so" and only get games I'm excited for :)

I feel your plight. We're walking the very same road, mate.

"This game looks interesting and the price is good. I will add it to the end of my backlog now and play it when I'm approximately 184 years old."

Totally, but I have to say it has gotten better for me... but not by very much :D

Earlier I bought games that were "interesting" and now I only buy games that are "very interesting". My next goal will be "extremely interesting / must buy" :)
I'm very excited for this game!

Yes. And when I have time to play I'm too tired to play. or have other things to catch up on. Or this stinking headache.

I hope I will reach that level. Eventually.

If only there weren't so many inviting games coming out every other day!

Oh right, there's other stuff to catch up to too. But at least for me their piles grow much slower than my games backlog.

I think it might even be slowly shrinking as I'm not getting interested in many new movies and TV shows these days. I wanna binge watch a half dozen TV shows and most are at least old enough to have stopped being produced (for example, CSI:NY ), so I know from the start they're not gonna go beyond what I already know of them.

Only games keep adding up in the infinite pile of shame.

And health issues are the worst, of course.
