Try on C:\REDKit
I had installation issues installing this, and had to change the installation of my directory to **a higher folder so you have to install it one folder below the root directory for the installation to even take place!

**(Visualise a folder tree...)

Yeah, I think I can see another aspect of this kit that contributes to the overall name-length bug that the program is experiencing…

EDIT: Great!, I downloaded the entire 37gb, before it failed… I DON'T like installing ANYTHING on my root drive, so looks like I'm going to try for a manual installation.

UPDATE: I was fanally able to add the game REDKit!
I'm smelling the Hard West 2 DLC drama all over again. The forums are so predictable.

moonshineshadow: Adding stuff to my account is not ok!
And no, I did not have it on my wishlist.
Why does it matter? It does not take up any physical space. You can just hide it.
I don't own anything Witcher3-related. And thankfully didn't receive this free "gift".
It would be quite a nuisance, having to remember to exclude this **** from new Gogrepo runs.

00063: As for CD Projekt, instead of making a new original game we're taking bethesda route are we?
They are working on a bunch of games, including a new IP.

Sorry, I meant to say HOW DARE YOU RELEASE A FREE MODDING TOOL YOU LAZY HACKZ !1!1!!

This is not really comparable with the Hard West 2 DLC, since the REDkit can be hidden.
The Hard West 2 DLC couldn't.

It was so clear that people will come up to say "you can just hide it". Yep, that answer was also predictable.

So what if it is not taking up physical space. I prefer my account not to be cluttered with stuff that I did not want to have.

Fair enough. It looks like the ability to hide it didn't stop people from complaining though.

Let's see...some users:

are getting the modkit without requesting it
get a receipt for the modkit and some do not
have to do an email workaround to get the modkit
cannot download said modkit due to network issues
are having their saves borked with the latest W3 update

What a wonderful Gog release :D

This is the kinda thing one would expect back during the days of games like KQ8 and Win 95/98. Yet here we are again :/

I hear ya...i'm more or less the same.

will add it manually later, as *I do want it in my library* yet must agree with your "so what". It's strange why GOG's library can't be personal due to "now and then" with automatic changes...
The number of games/positions, wanted titles, and unwanted titles is personal and the inability to understand personalism in favorite obsessions by some not obsessed with their hobbies people is staggering.

What did you expect? - It's the GOG forum, after all.

I don't really care, because I will just hide it. But to be honest I don't really get why GOG did it that way. Everybody who owns the game now, gets it without being asked and everybody who buys The Witcher 3 in the future has a choice. Why not leave the choice to everyone? It's a free item in the catalogue anyway. Anyone who wants it, can grab it.

What did GOG gain by forcing it into everybody's libraries. I mean except all the moaning and complaining that was very predictable.
