Wait, so a game about being trapped in one place, doing the same things day in and day out?

...

... I feel like I've been playing this game already the last couple weeks or so ;)

Maybe they should have delayed the release a bit - "Hey, I'm trapped at home and need a distraction. You know, a bit of an escape from reality. Maybe I should play a game..." ;)
For a second I thought GOG released White Night.

But The White Door also looks interesting.

I joke in my post but you're right it DOES look interesting. And I admit, I'm a sucker for well done hand drawn visuals that like (Guild of Dungeoneering is another one that just "works" with that style).
I've played all Rusty Lake games available here and I'm glad the next ones are coming. I really like their style. And their pricing policy!
Oh, well ... got the game quite recently on that other platform.
But Rusty Lake games are worth the money for a DRM free back-up copy.

Instabought!
More Rusty Lake games is always good.
Really like the look of that! Another one I wish was on Linux :-/

Does the game have problems with launching and working in wine?
D. Lynch turned to games?
Cube Escape and Rusty Lake series were awesome. For this price it’s a no-brainer. Instabought.

Yay, I was afraid, the game wouldn´t come here. All Rusty Lake games are great. To get the whole picture you should get all the free browser games too. Then play them one by one.
You can see the correct order here: http://www.gogcovers.com/images/9/98/Rusty_Lake_Series_cover.jpg

Can't help with that as I haven't tried it, sorry.

From your first post I concluded that you wanted to play this game on Linux.
Sorry if I misunderstood.

Yes I do but I would rather play it without wine. Plus I always think if developers think people will just buy the Windows version and run it through wine they are less likely to ever bother making native Linux versions.
