mrkgnao: Dear GOG,
Since you are now selling games that have
single-player content locked behind online-only walls (e.g. No Man's Sky, Absolver), without clearly indicating this on the games' pages, could you please clarify whether The Sojourn has any such content, and if so what it is.
Thanks.
P.S. You have not yet answered my question about Talisman & Talisman: Origins.
Crimson-X: Does this have anything to do with The Sojurn or you just trying to get a response off the general issue?
Not being argumentive btw, literally just asking. Would be disappointed if this game is like that.
This is specifically a question about
The Sojourn. I prefer to know whether the game has "single-player content locked behind online-only walls" before buying, rather than being disappointed after the fact.
mrkgnao: one can no longer know, when one buys a game here, whether it will have "single-player content locked behind online-only walls" or not
Mawthra: There's a generous refund system in place... not a solution, but in case you buy a game and you're blocked from playing offline, you can get your money back
I often play my games months or years after buying them, at which point refund is not an option.
tfishell: Sorry, "hurt" may be too strong, maybe I should have said "affect"; but ultimately I was wrong, cheers.
Is
"The game features online components introduced in updates (SYNTHESIS, BYTEBEAT, LIVING SHIP, EXO MECH, CROSSPLAY, DESOLATION and ORIGINS) that require Internet connection" not sufficient because it doesn't mention single-player content? (Maybe that line refers to something completely different than what you're talking about anyway.)
I hardly think that such a cryptic sentence (which indeed does not mention single-player) in a small font at the bottom of the page (after 'monosodium glutamate') is good enough. I think it would be more appropriate if the page bore a great red label: 'WARNING: LARK'S VOMIT!!!'.
