GOG.com:
Dear GOG,

Since you are now selling games that have single-player content locked behind online-only walls (e.g. No Man's Sky, Absolver), without clearly indicating this on the games' pages, could you please clarify whether The Sojourn has any such content, and if so what it is.

Thanks.

P.S. You have not yet answered my question about Talisman & Talisman: Origins.
Reminds me of The Witness. Which I loved, but failed miserably on harder puzzlers.

I might pick this one up if the puzzles are on mortal's difficulty level.

In the trailer it's hard to tell wether there is any gameplay besides beatiful visual effects or not.
Do you want to make convenient to buy games or do you want people to waste their time searching the internet for things that are supposed to be provided by you?

They won't reply to this. Not even their support replies to tickets concerning questions about the DRM in No Man's Sky. So I guess their staff has instructions to stay quiet about the DRM in some games at all costs.

I like you.

It's good what you do. There may be no reaction from GOG as of now, but for sure you got their attention.

All the best to you!

Is the idea to get peoples' attention on this matter to hurt GOG's finances, until GOG does what people in the "No Man's Sky isn't fully DRM-free" want? I'm not sure enough people view release threads for this to really make a difference.

No. I have absolutely no interest in hurting GOG or anyone else.

The idea is to draw GOG's attention (as well as that of its customers) to the fact that one can no longer know, when one buys a game here, whether it will have "single-player content locked behind online-only walls" or not, so perhaps GOG should consider making that information available, either by answering my questions in the release threads, or better yet, by clearly indicating it on the game pages. I believe this information is no less important than, say, whether the game has overlay support or not.

Thanks. I expect this will be a long campaign, so it sure helps to know that I am not alone.

Does this have anything to do with The Sojurn or you just trying to get a response off the general issue?

Not being argumentive btw, literally just asking. Would be disappointed if this game is like that.

Sorry, "hurt" may be too strong, maybe I should have said "affect"; but ultimately I was wrong, cheers.

Is "The game features online components introduced in updates (SYNTHESIS, BYTEBEAT, LIVING SHIP, EXO MECH, CROSSPLAY, DESOLATION and ORIGINS) that require Internet connection" not sufficient because it doesn't mention single-player content? (Maybe that line refers to something completely different than what you're talking about anyway.)

There's a generous refund system in place... not a solution, but in case you buy a game and you're blocked from playing offline, you can get your money back

This is specifically a question about The Sojourn. I prefer to know whether the game has "single-player content locked behind online-only walls" before buying, rather than being disappointed after the fact.

I often play my games months or years after buying them, at which point refund is not an option.

I hardly think that such a cryptic sentence (which indeed does not mention single-player) in a small font at the bottom of the page (after 'monosodium glutamate') is good enough. I think it would be more appropriate if the page bore a great red label: 'WARNING: LARK'S VOMIT!!!'.
