Wrath-Amon: Your opinion. For me F2>F1>F3>F4>FNV>Outer Worlds>F76

Frozen: Fallout 3&4 better than New Vegas? Wow... you left me speechless.
NV is definitely the best of the modern Fallout games (since FO3).
high rated

Thats why Im currently processing refund. Outer Worlds is too shallow compared to any fallout, except mb 4 and 76 in temrs of story. And this pathetic attempt to roleplay "dumb" character.... Phhhhh, not even close to F2.
Outer Worlds is smaller in scope and has an issue with lack of difficulty, but Fallout 3 has writing and quest design that feels like it was done by a third grader. I'd take Outer Worlds over that game pretty easily. Also ranking it above Fallout 4 and New Vegas is heresy.

Yep. I played all Fallouts through and through and I know in common casual tatste NV is an icon. I dont say its bad, I just like it less than others. The story is too far-fetched. Tons of Grand pianos in the bushes as the story progresses. And most importantly-absolutely delusional Old World blues. Most of all I prefer Fallout 2 and its grim world with sarcastic jokes, than this clownery.

NV has few better shaped in-game mechanics, but overall gameplay more satisfying in F3.
3rd grader, eh? F3 had a lot of interesting side quests, like wanna be vampire clan or blowing up Megatonn, in NV there are interesting quests, too, but in my case they feel for me toooooo unreal even for a post-apocalyptic world. Like sending ghouls into space or Elvis Presly fans, and its not the worst. In NV I dont like feeling of segmented world.

So its not a wonder for me why outer wolrds has 3.6 rating and first review on the front page has 2 stars and called "Ugh"

Just bought 'The Outer Worlds: Non-Mandatory Corporate-Sponsored Bundle' on Epic for 13.11 USD lol :). I would have liked to buy it here on GOG as I absolutely can't stand Epic's launcher and their website. It's so unappealing, dark, and hardly has any features. Too bad GOG didn't have it.

Either way, Epic had that 10 USD coupon and the whole bundle was already on sale for 23.11 USD. So, 13.11. Can't pass that deal. It's 57 USD on Steam for the bundle, or 77 CAD, and that's on sale.

Odd,,i see the the same price on steam or epic for that bundle, rougly 57 euros. So yeah, a good deal, unless it's a regional price thing being taken advantage.

lol what? so a bunch of very-smart-people building a city around an active nuke, and a gang larping as vampires is, according to you, more grounded and realistic than a faction *in Vegas* impersonating Elvis?

"Most of all I prefer Fallout 2 and its grim world with sarcastic jokes, than this clownery"

Uhh, have you really play Fallout 2? cause the amount of pop culture references, 4th wall breaking jokes and wacky stuff It's FAR from what I'd consider "grim"

Not that I mind the silly tone of some quests (from any Fallout), but... you're not making any sense.

Wrath-Amon: ANY. Its somewhere btwn 4 and 76
Opinions and all. that, but unlike F4, The Outer Worlds held my interest long enough for me to complete it.

USA took Trump as the president and Russia has Putin as an emperor, now tell me that building city around old war nuke is not realistic? And if u dont remember I will refresh ur mind. That nuke WASNT active. And this whole Tempenni quest was very very fine. Moira turning ghoul... sweeet. Now take a look at Old World Blues - total delusional bullcrap.

I bet I played Fallout 2 since release much more than u and I dont say that its a big deal for me about pop-culture refrences, its about how they serve these dishes. NV world in my case feels silly, compared to F2. And as I mentioned before NV filled with Grand Pianos in the bushes and its just plain stupid. If u like NV, wanna pray to Obsidian, its ur choice, but definetly not mine. In F3 and so on, I cant kill kids and that another bad decision. All these lil pieces break the immersion.

I dont say NV is bad, I just like it less than F3. I like F4 since I can build my own concetration camp and as RPG shooter its just nice. NV has lot of SEPARATED stories and quest lines that feel segmented, like Im playing some kind of MMORPG where I should complete all quests for current zone

I believe it is regional pricing. We're travelling and are in Guatemala at this time. I was able to switch my address to Guatemala and pay with my Canadian credit card. Regional pricing is awesome, including here at GOG.

By the way, I did not receive any email notification for your reply. Nothing in Settings about that as well. How do I enable email notifications for forum posts?

"now tell me that building city around old war nuke is not realistic?"
This has been discussed to death, no, is an utterly stupid placement for your settlement, literally *any* Washington DC ruin would be way more safe, and without the risk of the Lone wanderer coming to blow it up.

And no, the nuke is still operational... that's the point of disarming it.

"Now take a look at Old World Blues - total delusional bullcrap"
Don't play that DLC then?

"NV world in my case feels silly, compared to F2"
New vegas doesn't shove its pop references in your face (well, unless you take the Wild wasteland perk), so if breaking immersion bothers you that much, NV is the clear winner here lol

"NV has lot of SEPARATED stories and quest lines"
Except NV is actually pretty cohesive and many side quests affect others, the level of C&C is one of its highlights I'd say

You can like whatever you want, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! But yeah, the way I see it, you just dislike New vegas' aesthetic and setting, and that's fine

Fact 1:
Megaton city was created in the crater of crashed plain, wich carried nuke. First settlers was those ppl, who tried to get inside closest vault and they found find a shelter inside this crater from sand storms. Then comes cult of the nuke, then comes settlement around it. Totally fine. It looks like u're one of the ppl who dont read dialogs and just follow the mainstream mantra NV IS BEST, NV IS BRILLIANT. Ppl pretty often create cults in underdeveloped society. Its like creating cult of Fallout New Vegas and praying to Obsiodian. :) Its funny to see how some NV fans say that Megaton is dumb and join Legion, wich idea in postapocaliptic world WAAAAAAAY more dumber. Hard to see flaws in wat u love, eh?

Fact 2:
Old World Blues is part of the game, since its OFFICIAL DLC, not some TES mod. And its completely out of setting. Nope, thx. Its like Obsidian crying and sreaming to your face: "LOOK, YOU NEVER SAW ANYTHING LIKE DIS! NEW BRIGHT IDEA!" Whole time playing NV I felt like reading Warhammer End times. See these bushes? Grand piano always near...

Fact 3:
Cohesive? For me its more like, get into location - made quests in there, never come here again. Its like first village and the prison. Sure, after completing quests u will hear few dialogue lines in some locations, but overall the quest line locations feel spearated. I love how in F4 you could revisit old locations with radiant quests and in F3 for example slaver chain line would drag u through whole territory. Its like world of warcraft after few DLC: u have location - u have few quests in there. Complete them and move on, while in vanilla WoW in 2005 a lot of quests require u to carry ur ass all across the world.

P.S. i like setting. I dont have anything against. I don't like it when something is too far fetched. And its all about F:NV. Though I bought F:NV and all DLC and beat it. It was fun, but kinda mediocore expirience.

Now about Outer Worlds. Though I already got refund and kinda "exchanged" this game on to Metro Exodus. It suffers from some similar diseases. Though to mention last half of the game is boring to death and feels like developers were in a hurry and cut good portion of content

Fallout 3 leans heavily into Bethesda's kind of theme park world design. A city built around a bomb! A city run by kids! A city with a bougie inherentce class despite hundreds of years going by since the bombs! Bethesda always did that kind of stuff, but they leaned realllly heavily into it with Fallout 3. That and bad writing make it my least favorite Fallout game, despite 4's dialog issues.

However some people enjoy that kinda thing, and if you wanna just wander around a derpy but fun world then Fallout 3 is your bag.

NV has Legion. It's derpiness overshadows even city of kids. But ppl forget about it, since pathos lvl here compared to WH 40k. It feels like NV ppl are those guys, who claim that Oblivion better than Skyrim

Though Im not fond kids city idea, especially when you cant kill kids. At least in F2 u could mutilate those lil buggers.

Though lets not mention the fact, that u act like u do. And why play or speak about it things u dont like or care about? At least u pronounce the mainstream idea that NV is better, than the others. Reminds me of Oblivion vs Skyrim war. Or Gothic vs Morrowind
