Aaand from the wishlist to my library it goes!

Fun fact: Once again, getting the base game + Digital Content Bundle Upgrade is cheaper than directly buying the Digital Content Bundle.

The countdown clock is wrong.

Looks interesting, but not keen on the voice over.
Gog just can't even do sales right anymore?
Are they making an actual decision to try not to sell the soundtrack or bundles?

They do sell the bundle w/soundtrack?

I totally agree, it definitely spoils it. But for what it's worth, I've just downloaded the demo and thankfully the voice over has just been at the very start of the game. None in the game play I've completed so far. Hopefully that will continue.

To anyone who has played it, what is the game play like? In the video it appears to be a pick-your-path / Choose Your Own Adventure visual novel. Is the American Southern drawl voice over in a vaguely European Renaissance / Baroque setting as jarring in the game itself as it appears in the video?
Looks like a must have for me, if reviews don't say it's totally broken.
high rated
I've played the demo three times now, and I have to say I've enjoyed the game. Thankfully, there's no voice-over once you are in the game.

I am thoroughly torn though on something fundamental to the game. Most every choice in childhood and adolescence increases certain stats (for lack of a better term), and the game tells you what will happen with every choice. Now the game has special events that you unlock when you get certain stats to a certain level. I'm pretty sure you can't get all of the events in one playthrough (which is perfectly understandable), but I found myself doing a lot of mental calculations to make sure I could hit as many of the events as I could. So I wasn't so much role-playing as I was card counting.

Directly in line with that, I hate the Willpower stat. It acts as a limiter in the action economy of the game. Many of the important choices require you to spend some of that willpower for the action and in two of the three play-throughs, I didn't have enough at certain times for what seem like fundamental choices. The main way to get willpower is either to choose what seems like the most restful option or hang out with your younger brother. I'm not so sure it's broken, but It definitely prevented me from making many choices because I either didn't have enough to unlock the option, or I had to choose to get more instead of making the choice the character should have made. Not a dealbreaker, but the more I think about it, the more I really don't like the Willpower.

Now with all that said, I enjoyed the game and like others have said earlier, as long as the reviews of the full game don't come back and say it's broken somewhere, I'm a likely purchase.

Overall I'd give the demo a solid 4/5.

EDIOT: I guess I should explain why I liked the game. It is text heavy but not overwhelming and does a great job of building a world. I was always interested in what was happening to the character and there were some really cool surprises. While the Childhood and Adolescent chapters were fairly linear, I'm willing to bet that the following chapters would diverge quite a bit between playthroughs. I'm very interested to see if either Sir Vader/Han/Luke Brante make it to the nobility--and wonder if any will find themselves as inquisitors. :)

#2: Oh and thank you for the demo. I most likely would have only looked at this game at a 50% off or more sale without playing the demo.

If it's any help you can turn off this behaviour in settings so it doesn't give you consequences of your decisions.

Seems like a bit of a crapshoot whether they sell the game soundtracks or not. Depends whether deal with dev directly or need to deal with the artist who created the music?
