It's been a week since it has been released...Also why did the reviews disappeared? There were 3-4 great reviews about the game..Please restore them,.
What is the point of spending time to review a game if they are going to disappear like that.

Also, the link in this news article doesn't work (correct link). But now the "soon" tag is gone.

I think they removed the additional content that was available for a limited time (while the Falcom sale was ongoing). So this is a new entry in the store. But yes, please restore the reviews, GOG.
Yeah. I think this is the "regular" release without the extras while the one previous was the "limited" release with the additional goodies.

You would think that they can do it as some sort of limited DLC instead, but I guess NISA is going to NISA.
I'm guessing that the DLC will come back and they just don't have it up and running yet. Aren't those items available separately on Steam?

Either way, I bought it on launch day and will finally be able to start it in a couple days. Super excited.

No, it's not available on Steam and it's unlikely to come back, considering NISA's other week-1 DLC practices (Trails of Cold Steel IV and Ys VIII + IX).

According to the bundle's description, it would appear that the OST and artbook were only meant to be available during that period.

Reviews and ratings are usually separate between different editions of a game, aren't they? The problem here is the deletion of the bundle's game page, so those reviews are lost, and those who didn't keep copies can't even just copy them to the new page.

The other oddity about the way this was done is that the "a game you have been waiting for is now available" email was just sent now, not when the extras were available. It isn't a DLC, just a partial artbook and partial soundtrack. Nothing that affects the game (pre-Falcom's "unreanable number of pointless DLC" era I guess) and nothing worth worrying about not getting IMO.

The partial soundtrack is 10 tracks, great if you like those songs, although the soundtrack as used in the game is available in opus format in the game_pc/bgm directory (without metadata, though). Falcom sells CDs of the full soundtrack (look for the soundtracks on this page, the evolution one is 80 tracks and this version is based on the Kai version which is a remastered evolution version).

I took a quick scroll through the partial artbook (quick due to spoiler warnings) and it has a map, main character portraits with a bit of text, and a few pages of screenshots. A total of 19 pages. Falcom likely had a much longer artbook available at one point, although it isn't showing on their web site and the text would be entirely in Japanese.

Cavalary: didn't keep copies
Luckily, the very archive page you linked to saved a copy :).
I think it is super weird that they just remove the extras instead of taking a few bucks for them. Like do they expect to create some FOMO around their realeases? I mean I bought it day ! but not because of the extras.

You can also buy the MP3 version of the Zero OST on Amazon (Amazon music is DRM free btw)

Is it even the FULL OST or nerfed? USe to be when Nihon Falcom released their games on PC in Japan you'd get 4 disc worth of music...seems now they've gotten stingy.

Why would I buy Lossy when it's inferior to Lossless and they have offered the soundtrack on CD before? Actually that begs the question,....was the OST included in the extr'sbundle an MP3 or FLAC file?

Both. It had both MP3 and FLAC versions.
The correct link: https://www.gog.com/en/game/the_legend_of_heroes_trails_from_zero

No more extras.
Same high price only on GOG.

Screw you. NISA. Screw you!

Why are you writing as if this post was aimed at you? In any case, there is no serious difference in quality between lossless formats and lossy formats that have a high enough bit rate. At least, it's not a difference people with average hearing and average speakers can hear.
