Team17’s The Knight Witch is now available on GOG alongside its beautiful soundtrack, both with a -10% launch discount! And if you want to grab both the base game and the soundtrack together feel free to do so with a Knight Witch Deluxe Edition on a -20% discount. These offers last until December 6th, 2 PM UTC!

The Knight Witch is described as a metroidvania adventure game without barriers. It presents a fast-paced, shoot 'em up combat style combined with spell cards, which allow us to customize our own unique playstyle. Where it’s the Knight abilities or Witch magic we want to strengthen, the choice to explore tons of different deckbuilding strategies is up to us.

It is set in a beautifully hand-drawn world. We cast devastating card-based spells, forge close bonds, and make moral choices all in our quest to save our home and discover who's behind the War Golem invasion.

And if you’d like to know more about the game and check out its gameplay, join our Twitch Stream this Wednesday (November 30th) at 9 PM UTC, where DarkSaber2k will explore the story and mechanics of The Knight Witch!
There's no offline installer. :/

Edit: The installer is up.

Try to report that as bug, but I think it will be quicker just to wait for it.

Still looks pretty fucking ace. Totally my jam. :)
In case some use GOGdb for tracking installers before buying, for the future, please use the GOG API link on it. GOGdb updates with 1-2 hours lag.

In general every game receives an installer, except one (looking at you, Xenonauts 2), some games may get an installer after a week or so, most receive on the same day. I used to literally scroll all the games from the 1st days to like August 2022, found that GOG categorized Movies as games for some reason, blocklisted certain GOG IDs for better filtring of newly added. If there was ever a new game without an installer, I will inevitably notice that.
The gameplay is fun, but man, the dialogue/writing, to be quite honest, is the worst I've read in a long while.

I had goosebumbs due to second hand embarrassment a couple of times already and I haven't played that long yet...I might even skip reading the dialogue, it's that bad. :/

Edit: Okay, I have to admit, it gets better. I'm not rolling my eyes anymore. :P

Edit: Some parts are pure dogshit (the submarine, if anyone reached that part), if you have to rely on RNG and not skill to kill enemies fast enough before the whole screen is covered in bullets then something is fucking wrong with the design. I have the feeling that no thought was put into enemy placement.

Looks decent. I like fast-paced Metroidvanias. On the Wishlist you go! Christmas shopping has depleted the bank account for the moment!
During the first couple hours I thought I'd play through this game a couple times, it was a lot of fun, but the last third of it was dreadful...I'm done with this game and I honestly regret purchasing it (won't ask for a refund though), which does not happen often.
It took me around 6 hours to beat this game, 2 of those I was cursing constantly, your main weapon does jack squat at the end and you have to pray for good spell cards to defeat enemies or it will take way too long and the screen fills with projectiles.

The drop that spilled the cup was the (imho) shitty ending and (this is going to sound ridiculous or petty) unskippable end credits, after all the crap I waded through at the end I don't want to know who the people behind this game are, it only wastes time. There is no New Game Plus mode as far as I can see.

There's a hundred different things I could criticize, but I'll stop before my mood is completely ruined...
