The way of the fist.

THE KING OF FIGHTERS '98 ULTIMATE MATCH FINAL EDITION and THE KING OF FIGHTERS 2002 UNLIMITED MATCH are now available, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get them separately for 50% off or grab them together 66% off. Offer lasts until June 8, 1pm UTC.
Two legendary fighting games to kick it old school! Expanded fighter rosters, more game modes, and -in the case of 2002 UNLIMITED MATCH- fully upgraded and redesigned system and game balance for all characters. Quite the combo.
Two Good Old Games, both with achievements, fantastic!
Gotta commend the full Galaxy support on these games. Good work.
If you play local versus mode, you don't need GOG Galaxy, right?
I only wanted to play fighting games on dreamcast and switch, but i will buy these games just to thank the developers and gog for the full galaxy support. Maybe some day i will find matches online, never found a player on metal slug...
Can you turn the border art off? Can you turn any and all sprite filtering off?

Kinda BS how graphically inferior these ports are to the PS2 versions though.

Still, I wasn't expecting these... so now I AM expecting you to bring King of Fighters XIII here. Don't let me down SNK.

Why they didn't release this one too ?

Would be nice, but that one has steam online multiplayer. I assume it's a lot more work to release that with online mp for galaxy than the other titles.

The Steam versions of 98UM:FE and 2k2UM have online multiplayer too! The real question is whether these versions can play with the Steam versions.
Oh snap! well I never expected this to come here. maybe we might get a chance to have the modern KOF games come here as well. Now that I will love.

Thanks GOG my wallet hates you more and more lol

Yes and yes, border art and sprite filtering are on by default but can be turned off in the graphics options.
Border has options for art, black and none. Black leaves it in the original aspect ratio with black borders, none stretches it out.

pmcollectorboy: Wait... I got that game for free.

Exceed20XX: 2002 Unlimited Match is different from what was given away for free (an arcade emulated version of 2002). From what I'm seeing on the Steam page, Code Mystics was the developer of this port. Does that mean this actually works much better than all of those questionable Dot Emu ports? If so then hell yes, bring on the era of actually competent SNK ports!
Wait, so this is actually greatly improved version of the game?

I sometimes wonder why I bother to trust the gamecards on steam. Good to know.
Hope they add them to gog connect
