The legacy lives on in you.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing & The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II, the first two parts of an action-packed monster-hunting series, are available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. You can get both games at 75% off, including full GOG Galaxy support for achievements and leaderboards.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing are nothing short of an incredible mashup of gothic-noir settings, a twisted take on Bram Stoker's universe, weird technology, and monster-related consequences of mankind's thoughtless chase of the next breakthrough. Your father was Abraham Van Helsing, doctor, vampire hunter, legend. Will you do justice to the Van Helsing legacy?
Damn right you will.
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing are, at their soul, unceasingly intense hack'n'shlashes featuring a badass hero, badder monsters, and plenty of weapon drops and tactical options for a truly twisted adventure. You'll also have the chance to craft your very own lair - a personal hunter's hideout full of your very own trophies. But don't dawdle, 4-player co-op, and 8-player PVP await!

Live up to your legacy in The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing & The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II, available now - DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last for 5 days, until Wednesday, September 16, 12:59 PM GMT.

timppu: Ack... Just bought these games, but now I am very confused. Final Cut? It contains all the three games? Will the Final Cut come to GOG as a separate purchasable item, so should one have waited for it instead in order to get all three games, enhanced?
It is probably better to buy the three games separately discounted since the Final Cut version will come without the 75% off and the game will be priced at 44.99$. Probably as said gog will upgrade the three games to a free Final Cut version the same as Steam is doing.

The Final Cut should be coming to GOG on 23 September. The Final Cut should be free to those who have all three games; at least that's how it's going to be on Steam, as I don't know whether the third part will even come before the Final Cut's release.

Nice games, great price. Thanks, GOG and Neocore.
I just started playing the first game on my steam copy recently. It's great fun. There are sometimes bugs and oddnesses but the developers are great guys.
It would be a "dirty" bait and switch to have a 75% introductory sale on part I + II then a week later introduce a superior version containing much of the same content and expect a new purchase on GOG (while offering it for free on Steam). I don't see GOG or these developers resorting to that sort of trickery.
Any chances to see also the mac-versions here?

So is Final Cut all the three games in one, and even enhanced? That's the impression I got from the discussion above.

If so, why even bring the Van Helsing games here separately? Why not simply release Final Cut here and be done with it? Is there some reason to own the Van Helsing games separately, and then the Final Cut?

I don't even know this game, I just saw GOG offering two tasty looking and sounding games for quite a low price, so went ahead with it. :)

Yep, that's correct. I will be the whole trilogy in one game, enhanced.

Well, what can I say. Maybe the third part will be released next week or maybe the Final Cut will not be released on GOG at the same time as Steam. Or maybe the developers are assholes. :P

Matruchus: Finally here :) Now all we need from Neocore is King Arthur 1+2 Complete Edition + obviously Van Helsing III.
King Arthur: The Role-playing Wargame + Expansions were originally available DRM-free but Neocore decided it was too much hassle to support two versions and made the game steam only. They did give Steam keys for all owners of the DRM-free versions so that's something (some others have just dropped support and told owners rebuy of piss off.). Never bought Neocore game since.

Well this might have changed with a gog release of Van Helsing though.
Q: I have already bought all three games. Is the Final Cut really free?

A: Yes.

Q: So, it’s called “Final Cut”. What exactly will you cut?

A: The game is huge, it will contain no less than the entire terrain of all three games. In order to make this long journey more enjoyable, some of the minor quest and missions will be removed or replaced with more diverse, rewarding quests. The Neverending Story will be replaced with reworked Scenarios. Not to worry: we’ll only cut if we feel that it improves the pace and the quality of the game, and the final product will not be shorter because of this. On the contrary, it’s more than the sum of its parts.

Final Cut is a bit of an oddball. It will have some content cut (the classes that were in VH1+2), but it will also bring more quests and will add some extra stuff to the story. Plus the usual: more gear, perks, etc. I wasn't a big fan of how the class system worked in VH3 and seeing that as the choice of the VH: Final Cut...well, i'm less than thrilled. Supposedly it was improved, but i will believe it when i see it.
Nice and unexpected release i do love these kinds of games.

+1

It seems I hurried to buy the games. Still I don't know if I should have been waiting for the Final Cut.

Anyway, I will wait for an official answer before download them, in case I should ask for a refund.
