The legacy lives on in you.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing & The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II, the first two parts of an action-packed monster-hunting series, are available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. You can get both games at 75% off, including full GOG Galaxy support for achievements and leaderboards.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing are nothing short of an incredible mashup of gothic-noir settings, a twisted take on Bram Stoker's universe, weird technology, and monster-related consequences of mankind's thoughtless chase of the next breakthrough. Your father was Abraham Van Helsing, doctor, vampire hunter, legend. Will you do justice to the Van Helsing legacy?
Damn right you will.
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing are, at their soul, unceasingly intense hack'n'shlashes featuring a badass hero, badder monsters, and plenty of weapon drops and tactical options for a truly twisted adventure. You'll also have the chance to craft your very own lair - a personal hunter's hideout full of your very own trophies. But don't dawdle, 4-player co-op, and 8-player PVP await!

Live up to your legacy in The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing & The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II, available now - DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last for 5 days, until Wednesday, September 16, 12:59 PM GMT.
So the only unknown is the release price of VH3 on gog ...

Exactly, that's why I'm undecided about buying the other 2 now..

Most likely $/€15, since it doesn't have any DLC packs, like the other two games do. As for what kind of launch discount we should be expecting, I guess at about 50%.

B0SC0: Also, I just want to confirm that our loyalty program will be that owners of all three Van Helsing titles will receive the final cut upgrade for free. Thanks to our friends over at Neocore for confirming :).
Any idea when the 3rd part will land?

IAmSinistar: Bah! I will cling to my negativity, and if it be proven in error, conveniently forget it the next time the same situation occurs. It is my birthright as a GOG forum member. ;)

You think mere truth can stand in way of my mighty prejudgement? ;D

Thanks, both to you and GOG, for confirming that I wasn't a fool for buying the first two here. Happily, I am a fool for entirely unrelated reasons.

Soon™ ;)

To honestly answer your question though, as I said in my original post, we're working through everything presently and are trying to get these out ASAP. :)

You'll still need to buy the mediocre third part.

I shall, being a fool and all that.

Awesome! I had trusted that this would be the case, but it's very nice to have it be official. Thanks for keeping us updated!

A good read.

B0SC0: It's a pretty great read :). Went on a classic horror binge a few years ago and read my way through Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Frankenstein. Dracula was absolutely amazing to read, Jekyll and Hyde was vastly different to what I was expecting, but was nonetheless incredibly captivating, but I just could not get into Frankenstein. Dunno what it was, but it was a drag to read, and I put it down after a few chapters.

For anyone looking for a public domain audiobook version of Dracula, check out https://librivox.org/ . The Ladies and Gents over there do some fantastic recordings and although I haven't checked Dracula, I'm sure someone there has done it justice ;).

I don't know why I haven't finished Dracula yet. No excuse. I guess life happened and then I forgot.

It's aged pretty well, and has some modern sensibilities that make it an ideal vessel for later generations to go all retro on it. I got a hard copy for a dollar at Barnes and Noble once. You can take it into the bathtub much easier than a computer, and it gives your bookshelf class points.

I haven't read Frankenstein yet, but from what I understand, it's a much slower and personal sort of story with a smaller number of major events. Dracula is more actiony and hits the ground running in a popcorn sort of way. Frankenstein definitely sounded like it was more of a literary endeavor - you'll definitely have to take some time to get acclimated to all the stuff that happens for a long time before there ever even is a monster.

Is that if you ever buy all 3 games you get the final cut or just at/ near release of the final cut?

DubConqueror: One question though: can I continue my game DRM-free now with the old saves from the Steam version?
Yes, you can, but keep in mind the following difference:

Steam: Documents\NeocoreGames\VanHelsing\SaveGame\Bunch of numbers
GOG: Documents\NeocoreGames\VanHelsing\SaveGame\Default

You'll need to rename the subfolder with the bunch of numbers to Default in order for the GOG version to read it.

Thanks for replying, the question was a few days old, but still stood!

radikell: Hey Guys!

Can anyone let me know why the game isnt launching via GoG?
I hit the Play button but nothing happens.

When i run verify/repair, each time Nvidia PhysX installer runs, completes sucessfully, and the whole cycle repeats without the game launching.

When i try to run the .exe directly it says a .dll is missing.

Please let me know of a solution, if there is. I have also uninstalled/re-installed, but to no avail.

real.geizterfahr: Do you have an AMD/Radeon graphics card? In this case you should try this: Go to your Windows control panel, uninstall "NVIDIA PhysX" and start the game's setup again (or verify in Galaxy) for a clean PhysX installation. It will install successfully then (which it doesn't seem to do on your system, if verifying the game files starts PhysX again and again and again).

I have an AMD GPU and had a different problem with the PhysX installation. Luckily I knew this error from other PhysX games already. I posted the solution to my problem in the Van Helsing sub forum. If you're an AMD user too and a clean installation of PhysX solves your problem, please let me know. I'll edit the first post of my thread then, to add your problem and how to solve it.

real.geizterfahr: Yay! Now we just need the third game here ;P
Hey,

Thanks for the reply.

I run a
i7 2600, 6GB RAM and a GTX750Ti.

Un-installed the PhysX as you said, and did a verify/repair after a restart. Clean install of PhysX finished.
But GoG refuses to launch the game when i hit 'Play'.

Also, when i run the VanHelsingx64.exe, the error message that pops up is MSVCP100.dll//MSVCR100.dll is missing!

However when i run GLVanHelsing_x86.exe the game launches and runs fine!!!

I run a 64-bit Win10 Home OS, clueless as to what the issue can be.

Soo confused :(
