Niggles: Yes.. might be a while before i play it. Even longer for TW3 (now that IS a whopper).

Matruchus: Well whole Final Cut is cca. 50Gb if you download the dlc too :)
How did you reach that number?
I see a six-part installer at ~17GB and a four-part DLC at ~10GB.

omega64: Most you could do (at least in Torchlight) is setting the pet to passive status which pretty much means they won't fight.

Been too long since I played VH to know if there was a similar option for that one.
You can switch Katarina between melee, long range, and passive on the fly.

Download size vs install size.
He probably meant the install size. :P
Well, I already wasn't sure if I should get it, but increasing the price between yesterday and today made that decision easy -.-

Got it.
I have Van Helsing 1 on Steam and would love to buy Final Cut for 90% discount. Make it happen, GoG!

Yup, me too. It seems somewhat awkward to make this release coincide with the GOG Connect program, and simultaneously remove Van Helsing 1 from the catalog so it cannot possibly be redeemed.
why in the hell did they remove the originals?

fortune_p_dawg: why in the hell did they remove the originals?
Hm, they didn't. They are delivered separately together with Final Cut. You get four games when you buy it.

Yes. But now if you just want to play VH1, you need to pay $45 (US full price), whereas before you would pay only $20 (US full price). Basically, they are forcing you to buy the bundle.

Yes, that is true. But that must be gogs doing since the devs do sell the games separately on Steam, Humble, etc.

yeah that's what i was thinking too.

Accatone: I also own the first game on Steam. So even a 90% off discount here is unfortunately out of question. And just when GOG introduces its Connect with Steam... It's really a rather unfortunate situation.

Tyrrhia: Behold, for the fifth paragraph of this blog post has got you covered! http://www.neocoregames.com/2016/06/van-helsing-final-cut-gog-com/
I mailed them, but they just said that I need to buy the 2nd and 3rd game on Steam. GOG's 90% and 95% discounts do not apply to Steam users who have 1 or 2 Van Helsing games on their account.

Of course, but if you provide them with all three proofs of purchase, they should give you a GOG code for the Final Cut. That's what it says in the post, at least.

They could have resolved mixed ownership by putting VH1-3 on Steam Connect, but they didn't. I guess if you're in that boat, these are still the days of carrier pigeons.
