What's the matter with this game price?

One minute 95% discount, 1 minute later free... I feel absolutely cheated.
I payed less the 2£, but in principle you just lied to your customers.

It changed due to you buying Final Cut which includes the game you did not yet own.
Notice you cannot purchase Final Cut another time, even with that free price.

I do not think they lied, you probably only had 2 of the games that is why you got it for 95%. When you bought the final cut it then completed the game and if you looked at the page then, then it would say free because you now had all 3 the games. I got it for free right from the start because i owned all 3 the games already. That might be your problem. So its not their fault. You probably only had 2 of the 3 games to start with. Would be nice if you apologize to GOG if this was the case.

JudasIscariot: If you are installing the game via Galaxy it's all in one, if you are downloading the offline installers then it's a separate download :)
avatar
omega64: Sure seems like it isn't.
The dlc installer patched the game.
High texture res wasn't available until I patched it and the folder size increased..
Yeah, the install size in galaxy seems small with 20GB download.

Yeah, you really do need to download it if you want the high res textures.
Unless GOG changed it since yesterday evening. ;)
Just for clarification guys, if any could answer this.

Is the Final Cut all 3 games in one? What i mean is, do i just play the Final Cut and it would have all 3 games or do i need to play from 1 to 3 and then play Final Cut?

Thanks

Yeah, I think you are correct. Looking at the library the 20GB size correlates to the base game without the dlc. I guess will go and download it now :)

Final Cut is all 3 in one.
You do not need to play the 3 separately.

Three games in one. But since there are some new features and different skill systems in final cut that change the gameplay you also have all the other old three versions available for separeate download.

My understanding (having only played the originals) is that VH1+2 are linked by character export, where VH2 features a strict expansion of existing skill trees. VH3 continues the plot with a brand new set of classes (not sure if exporting exists for VH3 or if you just start at whatever level). And Final Cut is a repackaging of the entire trilogy with some tune-ups and reworks across the board.

I haven't played it yet, but I doubt there is any compatibility between Final Cut and the trilogy. I kind of preferred VH1+2 over the direction they took in VH3 and where I think they're going with Final Cut, but you can make your own call on that. If you end up not liking Final Cut much, it's still worth giving VH1+2 a try.
Due to Neocore for actually being nice, i've got added here via Connect, not only the Final Cut, but the previous VH1/2/3. So i can say that the wait for Final Cut was actually worthwhile and Neocore offered a pleasant surprise to everyone that owned the games on another platform than GOG and to the GOG users.
I've never played the series before and I'm thinking of purchasing it but.. I am wondering about that follower that I've seen. That ghost. Is she with you th entire game? And, what about multiplayer, does that mean there could be four of the same follower , following your party around? If so, is there an option to disable the follower from following you then maybe?

She is, she helps you while fighting. You can also send her back to town to sell your stuff.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure there would be 4 followers.
They wouldn't all be exactly the same though considering she has her own skill tree.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I won't be buying it then. I really don't like followers in games I guess. Especially ones that you can't change the look of and also especially when everyone has the same one , in multiplayer. The whole pets thing is the reason I didn't buy Torchlight 2 also. There have been exceptions. For example, I kind of like having a follower sometimes in Skyrim. I am not sure what the difference is , but yeah.. Maybe because they are optional and all look and talk so differently.
