WHAT?? This did not disappear forever down the memory hole? And one can't argue with the launch price. Instabuy, of course (actually, I briefly consired waiting until the launch discount wore off. Maybe for the first time, ever).

Pseudoedit: at least I TRIED to instabuy. Now the green button is spinning forever and js console says:

TypeError: Cannot read property 'isSecurityCodeRequired' of undefined
at prepareParametersObject (orderOrder-3576974.js:1)
at Object.orderMethods.processOrder (orderOrder-3576974.js:1)
Guess I'll have to get my hands little dirty with troubleshooting before I'm allowed to own this.

Could be related to the new credit card payment operator. Are you using a script blocker? (More on the thread I linked)

ciemnogrodzianin: Nice. And now, GOG, bring here Drakan: Order of the Flame! (:
Hmm, let's see,... original publisher: Psygnosis. So now it belongs to Sony who hates bringing back to life their old PC games...
Does the game allow saving at any time?

gog2002x: Looks interesting, wishlisted for now. Thanks GOG, Primal and TopWare.
Do you really expect the price to get lower than that soon?

Great looking game....too bad the sequel is ONLY on console(PS2).
(I own the sequel but NOT the original on PC)

gog2002x: Now that is a very cool cover art. Now I'm going to have to Youtube it lol.
If you look on the top corner you'll note that that is fan art. ;)

That said, I have played the sequel and it is pretty decent.

They might have too many games atm.....at least it is a possibility. Or maybe they want to buy it full price to support the dev. :)

Hm. That trailer made it more look like a strategy game than an RPG. The gamepage also mentions strategy-game-like features.... so a hybrid then?
I think it's also worth pointing out that this could be an example of a release happening (or at least being "helped along") by users contacting a publisher. Another user (or more) and I contacted Topware a few months back (maybe longer, 6+ months?) about this game. Obviously there are complexities (usually legal, or GOG rejection :p) involved but it doesn't hurt to contact a dev or pubisher about GOG releases, especially if people do it en masse.
Cool. I remember almost buying this way back when I was buying just about every dragon-themed PC game I could get my hands on. Dragons, man. Good lord, how I loved dragons.

At the time though, I could not afford it, so I said, "I'll buy it later."

And then I completely forgot about it.
Until just now. Insta-bought!

DRAGONS!

And yes, I already own the boxed version of Drakan: Order Of The Flame, but man, it would sure be nice to have a nice GOG version that was ready to play on this PC. Make it so.

It's possible - it definitely wasn't scriptblocker/adblocker because I don't use them.

I just cleared all cookies/sessionstorage/localstorage (there was a LOT of junk accumulated over the years) and it worked.
Are there any differences between this and the steam version?

There isn't much strategy. You don't build anything worthwile. You can upgrade town levels with accumulated something (souls?), you don't get to decide where they are or how they should defend themselves. I'd put it under action/fps/light rpg (and very slight amount of survival, you have to feed yourself from time to time by catching and eating cows or weaker monsters).

Excellent release.
12 unique territories representing various geographical areas: mountains desserts, forests and savanna etc. Each map has over 10 square kilometers to cover
That sounds... tasty?

Well, you are a dragon - a hungry dragon.
