At this price, totally bought, even if it supposedly has a very pitch-sensitive music puzzle (I've dreaded those ever since Myst).
So, is this more of an old fashioned adventure or leans into the "walking simulator" category?

Either way, it piqued my curiosity and I'll probably try it in a better discount.

Hm, I was hoping for something along the lines of Dark Fall but that doesn't seem to be the case here.
It only seems to be one or two hours long based on walkthroughs, which would explain the price.
I'm just not in the financial position to buy games that are this short. No matter how good they are.
It looks OK otherwise, there are actual puzzles in the game, so it's a step up from many other modern eerie games.
Trailer says PEGI 17, store page says PEGI 7.

Looks like someones got a broken "1" key
How about releasing some old games?

Impaler26: How about releasing some old games?
Activision released some of their old games on Steam; you can buy those :-p - http://store.steampowered.com/search/?sort_by=Released_DESC&os=win
Eh, no thanks. I rather play stuff from my backlog.
Sounds interesting, though the screenshots make it look a bit (too much) of the HOG-side style. Wonder how well this:
Combinig mechanics from the classic great adventures with puzzles and narrative
was done.

And don't appreciate the regional pricing.
So this guy checks in into Hotel California eh...
THIS GAME.
Yes.

It's amazing for such a (and I quote) "short" game; totally worth for the price tag + the ost is killer. Ok, some parts are a little "wut?" but nonetheless it's great.
Another 505 Games title in here and I'm thrilled as a puppy who's just been adopted.

Kunovski: yes, looks like I'm going to treat myself today :)
I did this whole game in like 5 hours and then fired up, right after, some Barrow Hill games - the 1st one-; it was an intense night ;P

Smannesman: Looks interesting, but it is pretty short apparently.
I'll wait for a better discount.
Compare it to other entertainment you spend 5€ on. Is it still short compared to them?

(edit: Removed the Dollar remark, since you're from Europe. :) )

Sorry for being spoilerish but I was cool with the music puzzles. I was cool with every puzzle actually ;)
This game's puzzles have, uh, driven me into something truly unique that rainy nights, as I was wearing my shriners hat, smoking some recently packed Backwoods Honeyberry, cat on the lap + Eamers lounge chair, lampshade on and some sweet trackball gaming.
Nah jk was in my underwear since it was hot as all hell in here, eating pistachios and sittin in a plastic chair ;P

Zero jumpscares. Not scary at all, actually! It focuses on wacky puzzles, new rooms and progressive storyline, although the latter's a bit... hummm not that mandatory to follow ;)

Score is pretty cool and well made. No white noises but this game sounds terrific, I can say.

So here's the deal: do it, but make sure you won't be bothered. Might seem too much of an exercise for such a game but nope, it isn't. Treat "The Guest" as if you're watching Eraserhead or Ugetsu ;P

I agree, but didn't feel that eerieness, pal ;P
