Look over there! It's a three-headed…tentacle?

Celebrated classics The Curse of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion (-33%) return, DRM-free on GOG.com.
To celebrate, The Secret of Monkey Island: SE and Monkey Island 2: SE are 65% off until March 26, 2PM UTC. Get them together with Curse of Monkey Island for an additional 25% bundle discount.

The Curse of Monkey Island
Meet Guybrush Threepwood. He's stranded mid-ocean atop a bumper car, he's hungry, thirsty, and much, much taller than you remember him. Yet still as determined as ever to save Elaine from the clutches of his undead nemesis, the evil pirate LeChuck. After his wedding proposal goes terribly awry, he will join a barbershop quartet, curb the enthusiasm of a demonic skull bent on world domination, and quite possibly die while trying to lift The Curse of Monkey Island. All in a day's work.

Maniac Mansion
Oh no, Sandy got abducted by the eccentric, quite possibly deranged Dr. Fred! Surely this has nothing to do with the comet that landed outside his Maniac Mansion 20 years ago or the two sentient tentacles running around the premises, right? Just in case, though, Dave picks two friends (out of seven in total - Dave is a popular guy!) and ventures into Ron Gilbert's classic point & click adventure, which reshaped the whole genre and later inspired a little sequel called Day of the Tentacle.
Heh, I remember playing the demo of The Curse of Monkey Island over and over again back in the day before I finally got it from LucasArts Classic collection on CD some years ago. The disc still works so I'll pass for now but great job, GOG!

I thought everyone knew where it was - it's in Zak McKraken.

Now I know but at the time of the release PC magazines offered (fake) solutions how to find the fuel in Maniac Mansion.
I can't believe it! Best news in a long time, definitely. Thanks GOG and Disney!

These games are too good to be ignored. And I gotta play them both once more.

Actually, I never had the chance to play MM1 to the end, for one reason or another. And I played CoMI from a... let's say, an "alternative" ¹ source back in the day. Unfortunately they removed music files to fit the game in the CD if I'm not mistaken. Also that copy was buggy and prone to freeze in a certain scene close to the end. So this is gonna be my first proper playthrough.

¹ - Come on guys, back then every publisher simply ignored any market other than Europe, US and Japan. Since there was no legal way to get the games and importing would cost a small fortune piracy was the only option.

Wishlisted for now, because I have to see if they fit in my budget
YES! Finally! Thank you, GOG!!!
And now the price for MI3 already changed and it costs more ... at least for me. That went fast.

*SPOILER*
Leslie and Melissa took it, before they went off to Mars. ;)

The initial price was probably another screw up by GOG. Current one still seems fair enough.

I'm glad Disney likes to make money. I've been waiting a long time for these to be here on GOG!

My childhood's version of that was the various rumours about how to get Mew in Pokémon.
Motherf... now this is one epic release! And glad to see that it's available at a very reasonable price. Way to go, GOG!
Four hours and I couldn't stand this any longer! Welcome in my private library, My Precious :)

darthspudius: Hang on, it is now 10p cheaper than when I bought it. I'm not minding the 10p but why?!
Well, it's GOG, isn't it?
In Poland it was 18,sth PLN. Now it's 19,19 PLN, but it's still decent price for such a masterpiece.
