Stand in the way between your territory and destruction.

First-person sci-fi title Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri, the 1996 combat simulator, has just come exclusively to GOG.com and is available DRM-free for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

You, Nikola ap Io, are the one that will lead Strike Force Centauri into combat as what first seemed like the typical covert operation turns into a full-out assault. Choose between multiple types of suits, weapons, assistance modules and squad mates to follow your orders as the game pits you against all sorts of enemies - from pirates through psycho clones to tanks.

A variety of scenarios, weapons, mech and flight sequences, and more is what you’ll find in the classic Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri, now exclusively available and DRM-free at GOG.com.

What does the press say?

“A breakthrough in outdoor 3-D action sims, Terra Nova gives mech games and flight sims something to aspire to.” -- GameSpot

“Terra Nova is a good, fast-moving and atmospheric game - which is probably no surprise as it comes from the people who brought you System Shock.” -- PC Zone

“Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to work on my tank-busting skills provided only with a croissant, a simple blowtorch, and those new killer drone packs they gave me a couple missions ago.” -- Computer Games Magazine
Woah, first Codename: Outbreak and now this!
One of my favourite action games with open approach on how to tackle missions, just like Outbreak.
This one has the original System Shock controls so beware, it also features impressive Q-Sound but I don't know if Dosbox is capable of emulating this.
I really liked the intensity of this game and it has great comm chatter, another very underrated game if you ask me.

Epitaph666: Aaaah didn't even know of the game's existence, but i'm glad we get something from the early 3D era!
It feels like getting closer to games like Ecstatica and City Of The Lost Children!
Ecstatica, now there is a series we could really do with being here.

Matruchus: Never heard about this game. Does look interesting though.
+1 And I liked Mechwarrior so I might give this game a chance.
WTF!?

All GOG does anymore is release good old games! They used to release new indies!

This sucks!

*bow*
Thank you! :D

tburger: Don't enjoy 3d fpss but it looks to me more like Mechwarrior than Quake/Doom...Am I right?

BTW. Great that ND came back. hope to see here their previous classic Steam releases soon enough
It's like a mix between Mechwarrior and Rainbow Six. You get to choose and command a squad of up to four people and select which suit to use (light - medium - heavy), the loadout (heavier armor means more weapon slots) and a specialization (like repair, demolition). Weapons fall into energy based and ammo based categories and missions are open structured. It's up to you to decide how to approach a mission. You can go in solo in scout armor or bring a squad of heavily armed soldiers and anything in between. You can even control a drone and scout out areas before going there. And there are pretty decent FMV sequences telling an interesting story. Definitely a classic in my book.

Oh my gog, you guys did it.

Time to dust off my old VR headset!
Looking Glass Studios? Yah, that's an instant purchase right there.
YES!

Scouting, fighting, moving in the shadows ... I remember this one as something like a Comanche on ground. I loved it!

Hopefully my memories don't deceive me :)
Now, where is my wallet?
Aw, sweet. LGS never dies.

Except, you know, when it did.
Cool, a Looking Glass game. I was hearing a lot about this game from some developers interviews and now I get to play it.
