Stand in the way between your territory and destruction.

First-person sci-fi title Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri, the 1996 combat simulator, has just come exclusively to GOG.com and is available DRM-free for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

You, Nikola ap Io, are the one that will lead Strike Force Centauri into combat as what first seemed like the typical covert operation turns into a full-out assault. Choose between multiple types of suits, weapons, assistance modules and squad mates to follow your orders as the game pits you against all sorts of enemies - from pirates through psycho clones to tanks.

A variety of scenarios, weapons, mech and flight sequences, and more is what you’ll find in the classic Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri, now exclusively available and DRM-free at GOG.com.

What does the press say?

“A breakthrough in outdoor 3-D action sims, Terra Nova gives mech games and flight sims something to aspire to.” -- GameSpot

“Terra Nova is a good, fast-moving and atmospheric game - which is probably no surprise as it comes from the people who brought you System Shock.” -- PC Zone

“Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to work on my tank-busting skills provided only with a croissant, a simple blowtorch, and those new killer drone packs they gave me a couple missions ago.” -- Computer Games Magazine
Yet another game I can't play, sadface. Even the screenshots give me motion sickness. How on Earth did 3D take off?
Hopefully this means we're gonna see more Night Dive soon
I'd love Night Dive to work their powerful mojo with the big mech franchises, namely Mechwarrior and Earthsiege. Now that would be amazing.
I liked this one back in the day, really innovative for its time.
I loved the demo back in the days. It sad that I won't probably bear the graphics today :(
It was one of the games I wanted to have but it was nowhere to be found.
nice release today but where my saints row 4
Don't enjoy 3d fpss but it looks to me more like Mechwarrior than Quake/Doom...Am I right?

BTW. Great that ND came back. hope to see here their previous classic Steam releases soon enough
Such a fantastic game back in the day. I remember buying it from a bargain bin (white label) and having great fun with it. I think I'll definitely drop this on the wish list for now.
Is the game good? I only know about it because of the devs, I haven't played it before nor even seen gameplay.
Good memories on this one. I especially remember one mission where I was bombing the enemy base far from the hills above with some long-range artillery weapon, looking at the enemies with the "binoculars" running around as they didn't seem to quite understand where the shots were coming from. The feel of power...

I'll possibly get it at some sale, I already have the retail version which I bought from a flea market for a couple or euros (the one I originally got in the 90s, I was stupid enough to sell it away, and later regretted selling it).

Kind of like a light version of Mechwarrior 2. Or the Heavy Gear games, You have missions where you run around outdoors in different kinds of powersuits with heavy weaponry. I don't recall if there was any meaningful story in the game, I probably just didn't pay attention to it, if there was.

I enjoyed it quite a lot, it is a true classic in my books.

Ps. How can it be exclusive to GOG, if it is a Night Dive game? Possibly some limited-time exclusivity, if it is actually GOG which has done any compatibility work and testing? A bit like the Star Wars games for Disney/LucasArts?

It is mission-based like Mechwarrior. Yeah closer to Mechwarrior than Quake in gameplay than Quake, but the controls are simpler and faster than in Mechwarrior, as you are not controlling a slow huge mech, but running around in your powersuit.
Nice to see this here. Could this mean, that Strife could be on it's way to GOG as well?

It would also be great if Night Dive would get it's hand on System Shock 1, any possibilities for that happening?
New Looking Glass release? Day 1 instabuy! Thanks, Night Dive!
Never played this one, but looks interesting.
Never heard about this game. Does look interesting though.
