Up to 75% off Puzzle Agent & Puzzle Agent 2, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, Hector: Badge of Carnage

A foursome of Telltale's many classic adventures, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com. Get all games 75% off together, or 60% off individually! Before The Walking Dead, before the The Wolf Among Us, the Telltale Games catalog was a medley of point and click adventures and testing the waters for new ideas - always mixed with the studio's unique charm. Here is just a peek at Telltale's adventure:

In the year 2000, a flash-cartoon by the name of Homestar Runner slowly began working its way up to internet-sensation levels of popularity. By 2009, the series's episodic Telltale spinoff was complete. And now, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People is DRM-free on GOG.com - in which you get to play as Strong Bad, be attractive, and get a taste of how Telltale did adventure back in the day.

Calling the U.S. Department of Puzzle Research! Strange events require your utmost attention - a serial crime spree-er is on the loose, and he's leaving all manner of brainteasers in his wake. That's not to mention the puzzles that surround you every day. As Nelson Tethers you'll have to traverse the perpetually-busy town of Scoggins, navigate a web of secret societies, peculiar sounds and... garden gnomes? Puzzle Agent & Puzzle Agent 2 are a duo of adventures, where beautiful hand-drawn art, hilarity and creepiness come together to form an amazing adventure game littered with smart challenges.

You are Hector. A rude man, a foul man. A policeman. You take the Great out of Britain, negotiate with terrorists, and would really much rather be somewhere else. Hector: Badge of Carnage follows the misadventures of the cynical cop as he trudges through life, giving off the wrong impression wherever he goes. That's not to say you should get the wrong impression about this game, there's method to its crudeness and, in great writing, a spirit of hilarity.

Take a trip back to a classic Telltale with Puzzle Agent & Puzzle Agent 2, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, Hector: Badge of Carnage together at 75% off. The promo will last for one week, until Friday, October 2, 12:59 PM GMT.

asb: Do not buy from Telltale on GOG. Their Sam and Max has had a game breaking bug on GOG for 3 years now and they still won't fix it:

haydenaurion: Same here. If they want my purchase, they need to fix the gog versions of their games.

BillyMaysFan59: I'm happy for those who wanted these titles here. However.....

All I want to know is why they plainly refused to fix that bug for gOg's version of the game, yet still sell it here for $30.

That's ridiculous.
avatar
haydenaurion: Yeah, that's a question i'd like to know the answer to as well.
Actually I was just playing my Telltale copy of S&M season 1 and got the Sybil does not appear but in Episode 1! And it was game breaking and she didn't appear in the same place! I had to dig up my SecuROM ridden disc copy just to finish the game!

Frankly, I think the issue is that they don't care about their early games at all. Like Dalthnock on the previous page, I found that they used to be great, but something happened (I started to notice it during S&M season 3 and ToMI) and they stopped listening to the feedback they were getting in the forums and started to be outright rude about it. Now frankly I am picking these up, if only to show that I want them to support their old games (and for all I know TBC still gets a share of the Strong Bad profits), but you couldn't get me to touch Tales of the Borderlands with a ten foot pole.

Unfortunately, while Telltale produced a lot of great games I enjoyed with twist and noticeable narration level, they are really bad at making games and post sale support. It is known that they don't bother to fix but for thei games after release because for them is a cost they are not willing to pay, leaving their product as half backed half tested title. That's amauterish and dishonest, but that's Telltale. It's really hard to support someone like that even if you desperately want to. They are one of the bad example of game industry.
I wonder why these titles haven't been released earlier on GOG. It's not like Telltale is a newbie here.
Really glad we got a release for Strong Bad. One of the better games from Telltale and the only one that wasn't available DRM-free elsewhere.

tfishell: Barry should theoretically be happy about this.
I'm actually happy about this! Thirteen dollars and change for four Telltale games? Not bad. I've been hoping for these releases for a while now. It's a shame negativity about issues unrelated to the quality of the games in question is plaguing the release thread. The Sam & Max bug not being patched after all this time perplexes me. I can't imagine the version available from Telltale's website is vastly different from the GOG version. How long would it really take for the developers to transfer the fix? Less than an hour? Probably much less time than their support has spent fielding questions about it.

DukeNukemForever: Strong bad's cool game for attractive people wasn't bundled and drm-free elsewhere so far, so that should be a premiere. Unfortunately it's not my kind of humour, but still nice to see to get more older titles here.

As far it's not a mistake again it seems two games now include also the mac versions. Still wondering none of the other Telltale releases here has the mac versions. Is there a license or techincal reason for it? No pushing or accusation, just interesting to know.
Actually, the Strong Bad game was bundled in Indie Royale and is DRM-Free on Desura. The bundle also had DRM-Free copies.

It's DRM-Free through Desura.

I am really excited to see SBCG4AP and the Puzzle Agent games. Loved them so much. It's just too bad that the games in this bundle have no extras. The DVD for Strong Bad's had some fun stuff.

Dalthnock: I might crack because of Puzzle Agent - which I loved but think it's overpriced for the content - and Hector.

Hector alone is making me sweat. And due to the nature of the promo, the increased discount for buying all games makes much more sense from a financial standpoint.

Quick, let's heckle Telltale so hard that they throw a tantrum & leave GOG forever, so I won't give in to my weakness & spend 15€.

You know it makes sense.
I've been in that position before, wanting Deponia but loathing the idea of giving my money to Daedalic after their shameless price hike and splitting Edna & Harvey games.
So for a whole promo weekend I entertained the idea of pirating the games and then grab the money I saved and use it to buy one or more games not on promo from a publisher that actually deserves my support. I finally gave up because I decided I wasn't going to spend my money that time after all, but I can't say I'm totally against doing it in a future opportunity.
YES! Strong Bad and Hector are finally here!
Thank You, GOG and Telltale!

Yes, but you can not buy it. It was only available as part of an indie royale bundle long ago.

I suppose it's not surprising that Telltale went downhill as soon as John Riccitiello got involved.

My favorite part of the DVD for Strong Bad was the 2600-styled alternate cover...
