Up to 75% off Puzzle Agent & Puzzle Agent 2, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, Hector: Badge of Carnage

A foursome of Telltale's many classic adventures, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com. Get all games 75% off together, or 60% off individually! Before The Walking Dead, before the The Wolf Among Us, the Telltale Games catalog was a medley of point and click adventures and testing the waters for new ideas - always mixed with the studio's unique charm. Here is just a peek at Telltale's adventure:

In the year 2000, a flash-cartoon by the name of Homestar Runner slowly began working its way up to internet-sensation levels of popularity. By 2009, the series's episodic Telltale spinoff was complete. And now, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People is DRM-free on GOG.com - in which you get to play as Strong Bad, be attractive, and get a taste of how Telltale did adventure back in the day.

Calling the U.S. Department of Puzzle Research! Strange events require your utmost attention - a serial crime spree-er is on the loose, and he's leaving all manner of brainteasers in his wake. That's not to mention the puzzles that surround you every day. As Nelson Tethers you'll have to traverse the perpetually-busy town of Scoggins, navigate a web of secret societies, peculiar sounds and... garden gnomes? Puzzle Agent & Puzzle Agent 2 are a duo of adventures, where beautiful hand-drawn art, hilarity and creepiness come together to form an amazing adventure game littered with smart challenges.

You are Hector. A rude man, a foul man. A policeman. You take the Great out of Britain, negotiate with terrorists, and would really much rather be somewhere else. Hector: Badge of Carnage follows the misadventures of the cynical cop as he trudges through life, giving off the wrong impression wherever he goes. That's not to say you should get the wrong impression about this game, there's method to its crudeness and, in great writing, a spirit of hilarity.

Take a trip back to a classic Telltale with Puzzle Agent & Puzzle Agent 2, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, Hector: Badge of Carnage together at 75% off. The promo will last for one week, until Friday, October 2, 12:59 PM GMT.

Have all of them (on Steam) except for Strong Bad, but for this price... Meh, wishlisted for now. :D

haydenaurion: It may not be a game breaking if you know ahead of time, but it's an unsightly bug and fixed in the other versions from what i've heard. That's just not cool that the gog version is the only version with this bug.

yyahoo: Not disagreeing at all. Just providing the answer that Telltale gave in the past...
Ah, very good then. :)

phaolo: Ugh.. are those full prices for real? O_o
avatar
real.geizterfahr: They are... It's Telltale (look at Sam & Max). They love their 80-90% off sales. It's basically forbidden to buy their games if they're not heavily discounted. I think they don't even expect to sell a single copy of their games outside of sales.
Ah right, silly me XD

yyahoo: [...] because the necessary character is not missing, it's invisible and if you click in the area where they should be, you can actually interact with them and finish the game.
Well, that's only half the truth. Sybil IS still there, indeed, but... she's reduced to a very, very, very, tiny spot. Even if you know where this spot is you have to search for it with your mouse! So, even if you know exactly what to do, it is still very annoying.

BillyMaysFan59: All I want to know is why they plainly refused to fix that bug for gOg's version of the game, yet still sell it here for $30.

That's ridiculous.

stg83: Indeed, I don't know how they expect people to buy more Telltale games here when they refused to provide GOG customers the fix for the major bug in Sam & Max Save the World. More games are nice but treating customers fairly is also very important which Telltale apparently has no inclination towards.
What's worse is that TellTale still sells the outdated build here on GOG for the same $30 price, yet at the same time, they offer a DRM'ed build with the bugfix patch at their own store. (or so I gather)

Yes, there is a known workaround for the bug, but the fact that TellTale hasn't fixed it for their paying GOG customers shows how unprofessional they are.

Which is why I'd rather give my money to other devs/publishers.
Nice to see more Telltale games here.

Breja: The full prices seem a bit crazy. Hector is a terrible game, not worth the promo 8$ let alone 20$. Puzzle Agent is sort of fun, but it's simple and short, both parts should come together for 5.99. And the Strong Bad thing... I have not played it, but come on. Daedalic's best new games come cheaper than that thing, and it's seven years old!
Yeah, the devaluation of games is a terrible thing. And of course it's all your opinion. Hector gets good reviews on Steam. I've read that the humour isn't for everyone.
I'll just leave these here...

I'm sure there are more, but I can't be arsed.
Those are great, basically their stance is "Sorry you are having a problem, but we already have your money and are not planning to work on a patch."
They are very polite about it.

Same as their official response regarding the bug in the GOG version of Sam & Max...

It's a shame, because they weren't always like this.

In the beginning they were really nice. Probably the nicest company I've ever seen. But around the end of Sam & Max Season 2, something happened. And it's been downhill ever since.

But they lucked out on this Walking Dead craze & they don't give two shits about anyone or anything. I wonder how long this'll last & if they manage to luck out again when the Zombies are dead.

I even used to pre-order their games back then, when I was a filthy pirate. They were the only ones I was buying games of. That's how good & trustworthy they were.

Now they're about EA level, only much smaller & with much crappier "games".
Have none, will buy the bundle. Expect to be properly bashed. ;)

Never played any of them of course, but playing in the Homestar Runner universe is going to take me down a very weird and spooky lane of nostalgia that I can't avoid heading down this weekend. Cheers!
"4€ for fair price package".

And that is why telltale can go F*CK off for all eternity. F*CK... OFF telltale.

Just wait until the release discount is over. Then you'll get the full glory of a 10 Euro Fair Price Package for a 7 years old niche game xP

Pitchforks, torches assorted sticks & farming implements are on the pile over there.
