Up to 75% off Puzzle Agent & Puzzle Agent 2, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, Hector: Badge of Carnage

A foursome of Telltale's many classic adventures, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com. Get all games 75% off together, or 60% off individually! Before The Walking Dead, before the The Wolf Among Us, the Telltale Games catalog was a medley of point and click adventures and testing the waters for new ideas - always mixed with the studio's unique charm. Here is just a peek at Telltale's adventure:

In the year 2000, a flash-cartoon by the name of Homestar Runner slowly began working its way up to internet-sensation levels of popularity. By 2009, the series's episodic Telltale spinoff was complete. And now, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People is DRM-free on GOG.com - in which you get to play as Strong Bad, be attractive, and get a taste of how Telltale did adventure back in the day.

Calling the U.S. Department of Puzzle Research! Strange events require your utmost attention - a serial crime spree-er is on the loose, and he's leaving all manner of brainteasers in his wake. That's not to mention the puzzles that surround you every day. As Nelson Tethers you'll have to traverse the perpetually-busy town of Scoggins, navigate a web of secret societies, peculiar sounds and... garden gnomes? Puzzle Agent & Puzzle Agent 2 are a duo of adventures, where beautiful hand-drawn art, hilarity and creepiness come together to form an amazing adventure game littered with smart challenges.

You are Hector. A rude man, a foul man. A policeman. You take the Great out of Britain, negotiate with terrorists, and would really much rather be somewhere else. Hector: Badge of Carnage follows the misadventures of the cynical cop as he trudges through life, giving off the wrong impression wherever he goes. That's not to say you should get the wrong impression about this game, there's method to its crudeness and, in great writing, a spirit of hilarity.

Take a trip back to a classic Telltale with Puzzle Agent & Puzzle Agent 2, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, Hector: Badge of Carnage together at 75% off. The promo will last for one week, until Friday, October 2, 12:59 PM GMT.

Stream watch:

Catch Outstar playing Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People (or SBCG4AP for short) over at Twitch.tv/GOGcom on Wednesday, September 30th, at 8pm GMT / 9pm BST / 10pm CEST / 4pm EDT / 1pm PDT!

Hector is a great game. Some of the humor is crude, but it's still a lot of fun.

But: The high regional prices have to be some kind of joke. Something has to be very wrong if you've got to have a ‘75% off sale’ to bringt the price down to mildly overpriced!
avatar
real.geizterfahr: Regional pricing is nice and all that, but... More than 1/3??? Seriously? That's far beyond "rip off". This is "Bend over and smile while you're taking it".
Which I think is the company's slogan, at least on internal memos.

Matruchus: The only Telltale game im interested at this moment is Jurassic Park: The game but nice see some more releases regardless. Another hour till Grand Ages Medieval is released today.
I would urge you to try that "game" before you buy it. It might not be what you think it is.

It's a series of quick-time event sequences that you will pass no matter how badly you screw up. The only difference is the colour of the badge you get at the end of the sequence.

Disclaimer: I only had the endurance to go through the first sequence before I was bored to a near catatonic state. There is a strong possibility that the game will improve drastically later on.

Pffft... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Price is a bit high and no extras but it's good to have them here. Already have them on my Telltale account though and most of them on Steam too.

asb: Do not buy from Telltale on GOG. Their Sam and Max has had a game breaking bug on GOG for 3 years now and they still won't fix it:

BillyMaysFan59: All I want to know is why they plainly refused to fix that bug for gOg's version of the game, yet still sell it here for $30.

That's ridiculous.

Just to show how classy I am, I will refrain from beating that extremely sick horse to death & I WILL NOT WRITE "Well, that's Telltale for ya. What do you expect?"

yyahoo: Strong Bad!!! Awesome!!

Well, there was a DVD release with only a disc check, whether that's "DRM-free" or not seems to vary from person to person, but I'm okay with calling it such...
avatar
DukeNukemForever: Ahh right, the disc release. Right. I was thinking to order the discs for Monkey Island and Sam & Mac series back in the days, but as far as I remember shipping was really costly. I would want to change my sentence to drm-free online ;-)
Yeah, the shipping cost in the U.S. alone was high. As I recall, the shipping cost to other countries was absurdly ridiculous...
TROGDOOOOOOOOOOOOR!

Sewiously, SBCG4AP took way too long to get here.
The full prices seem a bit crazy. Hector is a terrible game, not worth the promo 8$ let alone 20$. Puzzle Agent is sort of fun, but it's simple and short, both parts should come together for 5.99. And the Strong Bad thing... I have not played it, but come on. Daedalic's best new games come cheaper than that thing, and it's seven years old!

Smannesman: I hadn't even noticed the regional pricing, it's not mentioned if you buy the 'bundle'.

Shame the Bone games didn't come to GOG too, or the puns would have written themselves.

Same here. If they want my purchase, they need to fix the gog versions of their games.

Yeah, that's a question i'd like to know the answer to as well.

I think somewhere in the forums someone posted a link to the Telltale forums where they responded that they don't consider it a game breaking bug because the necessary character is not missing, it's invisible and if you click in the area where they should be, you can actually interact with them and finish the game. Of course, if you don't know that ahead of time, you sure can waste a ton of time trying to figure out what to do next...

Indeed, I don't know how they expect people to buy more Telltale games here when they refused to provide GOG customers the fix for the major bug in Sam & Max Save the World. More games are nice but treating customers fairly is also very important which Telltale apparently has no inclination towards.

It may not be a game breaking if you know ahead of time, but it's an unsightly bug and fixed in the other versions from what i've heard. That's just not cool that the gog version is the only version with this bug.

Not disagreeing at all. Just providing the answer that Telltale gave in the past...
