Gydion: I'm intrigued. Approximately how long is the game? I have played other TBS squad combat games before.
avatar
whalehammergames: We estimate about 10 hours, give or take depending on reading speed and how quickly you make decisions in combat, so likely to be longer on the harder difficulties.
10 hours ? 12 at least for me i'm not that fast anymore like i used to be 15 years ago, so 10 hours or more in my case is a very nice amount of playing hours.

gamesfreak64: Depending on what pc you have and in what country you live, ram is not that expensive, even a poor guy like me could afford it, but i guess thats because i already saved backk then to be able to get 4 GB ram in my pc (2009 assembled so it is "oblolete" now) and last eyar i saved some to buy 4 gb extra, now i have 8, sadly the ram i needed was old and no longer in stock, otherwise i would have bougt 12 gb , then i would have had 16 (max) GB now.

Cecco: Oh, it is not about money. This silly old pc I mainly use has 3 GB RAM max, you cannot mount more on the motherboard. But I can lend some other family pc to play it so ok :) I know 3 GB is weird.
Its no that weird cause old xp 32 bits only recognised 3 tot 3.5 gb if i remember correctly, before i started to use win7 as my main windows i still sued XP, and XP had 3.5 (windows is weird) but win7 did use the 8 gb.
Lateron i got tired of the XP which became so slow and irritating , i started to use win7 64 bits.

A significant patch appears to be in the works. Given how responsive and attentive the devs have been, it will probably be a good thing indeed.
Nice, and update just landed! Looks like a minor bug fix as opposed to the larger incremental release, but welcome nonetheless. Keep up the great work Whale Hammer!
Pixelated? NO! It looks great!

Procedurally generated? NO! Every level is designed!

Permadeath? NO! At least I don't think so. Looks like you can re-load.

Platforming? NO! An RPG with a story and real gameplay!

Piece of crap? NO!

I wants it! I wants it! I wants it!

Wise decision. I hope you like!
mmm, I'm quite skeptical about this "update" as personnally, I love books but IMHO, artbooks are meant to be on paper as a "display of art" which can last over decades and not being a simple pdf file (as it loses all its value to my eyes as an artbook).

Actually, it just gave me a wild idea: GOG should open a store section about paper-only videogames-related books, that's a niche market which would fit the website nicely (and be more lucrative than the movies section).

Hey Catpower,

I know where you're coming from. We had an art book tier on Kickstarter specifically so we'd get the chance to create a physical book. They're a very special memento.
I'd love it if GOG opened a physical book store, haha.

Completely respect your opinion, but we tried to make the book special enough that it'd be worth owning digitally for those who missed the Kickstarter.

Peter
Thanks for bringing the art book here, I do love such things sadly it will be a while before I can afford to get it. I've paid more than I should have on several kickstarters to get them sadly they tend to be in tiers beyond my means.
