whalehammergames: There's virtually no difference between the GOG build and the Steam build except for Steamworks, which we can switch off with one line of code. So we'll always send GOG our new builds at the same time we update the Steam version. Nothing to worry about on that front :)

opIgra: Glad to hear! Thanks for this information.
My pleasure :)

whalehammergames: Thanks so much for such a thoughtful analysis of the game, I really enjoyed reading it.
I happy you found it so. Thank you for creating a game worth writing (and thinking) about.

whalehammergames: The short answer is no. At the start of battles you will always have a designated number of characters that we've balanced for. We have some longer battles, that go through phases, where you move through the environment. Character deaths are persistent across those. But we made sure to give you plenty of opportunities to get reinforcements during those battles. So you always have a shot at winning it, even if you have a few messy encounters earlier in the battles.
Great. Bought the game and the music.
Just bought the music.
I'm intrigued. Approximately how long is the game? I have played other TBS squad combat games before.

We estimate about 10 hours, give or take depending on reading speed and how quickly you make decisions in combat, so likely to be longer on the harder difficulties.

I'm playing in stages and it definitely takes me a good while for each battle. Last night I finally got to The Claw and The Hammer, and made it through the first part of the siege of Tira. I have to say, I love the whole ambush dynamic. It adds a spin to combat that really gives one a lot of options! The writing remains consistently good as well, which is another plus.

Slightly on the short side for my taste. Though the story could make up for that. I rarely purchase a game Day One/Week One, but damn me if I've ever seen a Dev handle a release on GOG better. The whole thing reeks of competence and respect. I think I will pick this up when I buy TQ.

Thanks so much for saying that.

To let everyone know our plans for updates. We've pushed three hot-fixes live to fix specific issues we've had reported. We also have a 1.1 patch planned for roughly (when it's done) the end of the month. That patch will look at some optimizations, non-critical bugs and the like.

Cheers. I see you found the game sub-forum. GOG really should have included that in their orientation package. :p Had a bit of trouble with the audio at first, but worked around it. I'm now off to play.
This game will probably last more than 10 hours for me, because I've tried for two nights to win the rooftop battle in Tira, with no success. I know I can, but it will be a while before it happens. :)

Thanks again to the devs for being so consistently engaged with the game and with the community here!

Cecco: I wish I had 4 GB of RAM...I'm downloading the Indiedb demo to see if I have any chance to play it. Thanks daveyd!

gamesfreak64: Depending on what pc you have and in what country you live, ram is not that expensive, even a poor guy like me could afford it, but i guess thats because i already saved backk then to be able to get 4 GB ram in my pc (2009 assembled so it is "oblolete" now) and last eyar i saved some to buy 4 gb extra, now i have 8, sadly the ram i needed was old and no longer in stock, otherwise i would have bougt 12 gb , then i would have had 16 (max) GB now.
Oh, it is not about money. This silly old pc I mainly use has 3 GB RAM max, you cannot mount more on the motherboard. But I can lend some other family pc to play it so ok :) I know 3 GB is weird.

It seems that for some reason I can't answer directly to the developer's post. Thank you the the warning.
The demo crashed after the nice dialog part. I have bought it anyway, I will play it on someone else's pc ;)
