In Symphonia, you'll use the power of your violin coupled with your platforming skills – now available on GOG, with a -10% launch discount until December 19th, 4 PM UTC!

In the realm of Symphonia, music acts as a source of life and energy. But since the founders and their orchestra vanished the inhabitants are divided, and the world slowly falls into silence. What if there was a way to gather a new orchestra? That's the question Philemon, the mysterious musician in Symphonia, will have to answer.

You can also get Symphonia - Deluxe Edition and Symphonia Soundtrack.

Now on GOG!

GOG.com: Release: Symphonia
Let the music play...
Show some goddamned user interface in your screenshots developers. These screenshots show NOTHING about the game at all.

Music-themed games like this -- they often degenerate into rhythm-game elements or 'you gotta know music to play' type things. Does this have either?

The game card needs a redo. Looking at screenshots, reading text, I have no idea what the game is. While it has a demo, that's a huge step.

Same as GRIS, this will be a game I buy purely for the soundtrack LOL.
Amazing to see this release here, congratulations dev team and GOG!

Gonna grab a copy soon!

There is no user interface during typical gameplay (in the demo, at least). A window/overlay may temporarily appear showing storytelling images, instructions for the controls during the tutorial, the name of a new location as it is entered, or displaying the current and total acquired collectables. But it is just a platformer - what UI does Super Mario Bros. for the NES need when the score, lives, world, and collectables/coins are stripped away? Symphony only utilises the latter two, and only displays them when required.

About the music theming, In the demo there was nothing that you describe. It was simply theming, for example: the background sets were that of an opera house; the spring platforms percussion instruments or the wind from wind instruments, etc; playing your violin (a single button press) at an appropriate location to unlock doors; and so forth.

* There are videos available on the store-page for your perusal, not that they should be required to convey expectations to the player. But it's a resource that those designing the page anticipate to be consumed. The main hint that describes the game is unfortunately tucked away at the bottom. It should be prominantly at the top:

Experience and overcome great platforming challenges with all of Philemon's abilities

It looks to be a Hollow Knight inspired Metroidvania with a lot of difficult platforming sections. I might pick it up. The game is merely themed around music, no music puzzles. It will scratch that Hollow Knight itch. Nevermind, this looks more frustrating than fun. I'll pass!

At least the demo was just a precision platformer and not a metroidvania.
How does this relate with the 2020 student project that was available before?

Hey there !
Yes we are the former students behind the 2020 game Symphonia...

...this is a different game started from scratch!
It does not contain much content from the student game, but core mechanics have been kept and some new were added.
Half an hour ago I bought the game and it does not appear in my library, what's wrong?
Not to be confused for the equally delisted Symphony.

Try refreshing your account. Between new Amazon drops, and the Warcraft Delisting, GOG clearly overstressed the servers.
